Also, as <VIKUS> said, the default dashboard is on the passenger's side. I'd prefer if it was either not present at all, or where the actual dashboard of the truck is. Otherwise, I really like it!
Do you need to go up a near vertical slope? This thing will do it.
Do you need to flip a vehicle that is 2 times bigger than this truck? This thing will do it.
Do you need to tow 2 trailers trough the thickest mud? This thing will do it.
Do you need to tow a trailer, and another truck with a trailer? This thing will do it.
I have yet to see a problem that this thing wasn't a solution for.
So what do you actually get?
- Optional all wheel drive
- Nice powerfull engine
- 5 speed transmission, it's not the fastest thing on the road, but it's also not the slowest.
Now I hear you thinking: "Wow, this thing sounds a bit OP"
Well it's not. It's biggest downside is it's fuel consumption. This thing is thirsty. So I'd suggest having a dedicated fuel truck for it. And it's Fuel tank isn't very large.
Again, great job on this mod! I look forward to seeing what else you have in store for us!
I do hope you take the constructive criticism that people have offered here and make this truck even better. My only nitpick is the star on the door. Seeing a red star there feels like putting an American flag on the door of a Kraz. Yeah, you can do it, but does it really look right?
You have done what I've been hoping to do for years by creating this truck. I still have the 3dsMax files of the M939 that vashts1985 created for the original game if you're interested. He put them online for anyone to use as he said he didn't have time to complete it. The files contain different wheels and add-ons that are unique to the M939, plus I believe the rear axles are the correct ones, too.
I was able to get his truck to work in-game, but I never felt confident enough to paint it the way it deserved to be painted. The way you textured this truck is what I can only dream of doing! Keep up the great work!
first; The axles come from the KRAZ including the entire drive train.
American M series REO, AM GENERAL 2.5 and 5ton trucks have rockwell axles front and rear.
and the lighting, US trucks including military trucks have orange
Side marker lights and the front marker lights sit in a housing with the turn signal and are also orange. and they should work when you turn on the light,
And finally, why !!!!!! are the taillights missing?
but please do not stop working with some updates please
