After some intensive testing it seems its having issues where it teleports me to a strange black void or it doesnt show up at all

oh yeah.. addendum. cannot download from megafile. my antiviral goes nuts and stops it from downloading. if i force download it deletes it when i activate the file as if it were a virus.

Make sure you delete all the files named "DTP" in the data folder too before replacing.

Something has to be going wrong, I tested them, and they work fine in mine. The fact that you linked every town as not working definetly means it's an installation issue.

Try this: unsubscribe from the Steam version, and delete the corresponding files (in other words, take a look at what files are in the MegaUpload version, find them in the skyrim/data folder). Then, copy/paste the MegaUpload version into your game. I'm certain that this should work, as the portals have no problem working in mine.

I was using the Steam version, I've tried the MegaUplaod and it doesn't work either. Tested Whiterun, Windhelm, Dawnstar, Solitude, Riften and Markath.

And now they fully persist...again...i dont know whats this related to. Though sound still vanilla one, i mean opening sound.

Actually, no. It's not a bad idea in terms of being able to get there and back really quickly, but are there any shops or anything that would make the portal useful? Otherwise you may as well just fast travel.

Lol, that was what was meant to happen from the start. No idea how you managed to get it persisting perfecty, you must have been the only one.

Are you using the Steam download? Or the download link to MegaUpload that I provided in the description? The Steam download is faulty, because the Creation Kit uploader doesn't work properly. Give the MegaUpload download a shot, and see if you have any more luck.

Ok now, this is some sort of travesty, i have loaded my game, with a portal open, and guess what? Only activator appeared...they persisted completely before, now only activator. It seems i have jinxed myself :D.

Yes, there is a cap of 100mb files to upload, but the mod size is alot lower that the cap, the uploader itself has some problems, not related to the file size.

Solitude did the same thing as Riften, Windhelm nothing left the dummy cell.

This has gone really screwy - the portal to Whiterun didn't leave the dummy cell, but the return portal did. The portal to Riften, which has never worked before, appeared and took me to the dummy cell, where the return portal was waiting and also took me to the dummy cell.

Anything I can do to fix this?

which is probably why its not loading all of the script, since your mod was there before the limit each subsriber only gets 100mb of the mod which is why the portals that aren't working is different for everyone

OH GEEZE! i just remembered Adamidius steam put a cap on on how big the mods files are. i think its something like 100mb or something like that so if your mods go above that you'll need to break it down and put two holds for each mod and make more then one mod

To classify, casting sound is propper one, but opening sound is vanilla, though file itself is in archive. Loading you mod last provides the same sound. Using loose files from "sound" folder gives provides the same. Btw, affter i first instaled your mod, all summons been using this sound instead of vanilla...wich i liked actualy.

First of, you havent uploaded "Textures" and "Meshes" folders, i asume this will result in invisible activators, "Sounds" and "Scripts" files are identical, frankly, you can safely remove it from megaupload, since all files are identical.

Hi, been using your mod for some time but, only recently i have noticed that i cannot summon portlas to all holds except Whiterun and Windhelm. I have tried to reinstal, deactivate-save-reactivate, load last in load order to no result. Now i have opened your dtp.bsa only to find out that there's only 7 sript related files, 1 reffers to animation refreshing, others 6 reffers to Whiterun and Windhelm.

Really enjoying it so far, but I'm also having the problem of the Solitude portal not working. I have a single quest mod that impacts solitude... it doesn't change the landscape. I'm going to try changing the load order and see if that fixes the problem. All the others so far work fine.

Im having solitude's town portal fail for me as well. My situation is very similar to Maxoran's, so I may be able to help with diagnosing the problem. I haven't tried any other portals yet, but I will eventually so I can figure out what is going on.

They persist, just like the Diablo Portal. They will despawn after you go through the teturn portal, or upon casting another.

Out of curiosity I unsubscribed and deleted the mod. I tried all the portals after reinstalling and same issue.

That pretty much confirms what is going on; the spell isn't activating at all. This makes me think that the game hasn't downloaded the firing script for the Dawnstar portal, or if it has, it isn't using it properly. Hmm... maybe if I give you the script seperately, and you put it in the correct folder, we'll see if that fixes the issue? Let me know what you think.

Okay, so hopefully this makes sense. I tried a known good and a known bad portal. Windhelm works fine, Dawnstar does nothing at all (sound effect but no portal or activator).

I enter the 'Dawnstar Room', and I start off on the Portal to Dawnstar activator, and beside me on the same tile is the Return portal. On the other tile are the two animation, not labelled.

Windhelm works, and when I enter the 'Windhelm Room', I see no animations or activators.

Let me know if you need clarification.

No, I haven't had any luck, I'm afraid. All the portals work fine for me.

Perhaps however, you'd want to do a little troubleshooting exercise for me?

Pick a portal that has a problem for you, e.g. Whiterun.

Enable your console in game, and type in coc dtp_dummycellwhiterun (replace whiterun with the name of the portal problem).

You'll be teleported to a room with two white floors. On one of the white floors, you should see two animations - on the other white floor, walk over there, and walk around a bit. You'll see activator text pop up on your screen (the activators themselves are invisible)- "portal to markarth" and "return portal" to be exact.

Once you have confirmed that those 4 things are in place, teleport out (coc whiterun or something like that).

Cast the portal.

Take note of what appears (the animation, but not the activator, or perhaps nothing at all).

Head back inside that room, and check whether the portal animations and activators have moved from their specified spot (they should have).

Take note of what hasn't moved - thats what is malfunctioning.

Teleport out.

Cast another portal.

Go back into the troublesome portals room.

Make sure everything is in it's proper position.

Post back your results here; once I have a sense of what is going wrong, I might be able to do something about it.
