I've wanted to make my own skin mods but i don't know how
absolutely arousing
No questions asked. Though if it causes problems in combination with other performance changes, then might scrap it.
I thought about renaming some cards like Strike -> Cluck but in the end I decided that I don't like that. It'd be somewhat confusing if the cards suddenly changed names.
Furthermore, the only way I see this working and be compatible with mods would to check the string taht is passed for rendering the name which wouldn't be a problem if you were to only replace one name but let's say you want to do the Iron Beak and Perfect Cluck replacements, this means you'd need to check the passed string for 2 different strings, every rendered frame (30/60 times per second) for every card you're looking at. I will always discourage mods from doing inefficient things like this because it'll cause problems in combination with other performance reducing changes.
It is good because it can work with Simplified Chinese
