I used this ship for over a year, loved how compact it is, but when the game introduced the CPU / RCS and storage changes, I gave up on the game. I still would love an updated version of this now that I am back!

Hey ei8htx I've been a huge fan of the Vagar for a long time (since A7 at least). Back then I created a modified version of it which i have slowly upgraded through each release. I currently have an L1 (Live 1.0) version working and wanted to share it with you to see what you think. The workshop page isnt updated yet so you'll have to spawn it in a game to see the details. it has pretty much all the same features as your A10 and a few of the new A12+ stuff as well. It comes in 2 versions: L1 Lite (stripped down to the bare essentials with room to upgrade) and L1 Full (fully equipped and even has its hull upgraded) I'm posting the link here for you to see. If you dont want my links pulling away your viewers feel free to pull it down. I just wanted to share it with you.

This is by far my favorite design, I have not gone through a single play-through where I didn't use this vessel. Its always my first CV and then I make sure to build a CV big enough to hold it. It then becomes a gunship to attack POIs. Thanks so much for this design!

Great design! Everything you need and nothing more. No hangars, fast farms and stadiums for 100`000 visitor inside. Very practical. I just added 3 mining lasers and 2 spotlights below the cabin, just to make it more versatile.

Hello, I really love your VAGAR, it has been my go-to CV since I started playing. I have modified your original design several times. My latest is a total rework of the inside including new engine nacelles, more cargo space and more armament.

Just a comment, this is the 8th most popular airtight build of all time!

(wasn't completely sure the point of that new airtight checkbox on update, but hey!)

Everything seems to be working fine, flight-wise.

Was a little short on the new CPU space, so added an extra tier 1 CPU to bump to 500k CPU power (uses ~300k).

Cleaned some textures.

wishing you the best of luck with the newest version in the alpha model workup of this enjoyable little starter CV.

Waiting for the Alpha 11's to stabilize out over the next few weeks, then I'll take a look at this and see if she's still spaceworthy with the new flight mechanics.

like this basic model so much i did a few redsigning changes for the new gaming system going on and changed the looks alot but still keeping the original idea of the basic look in a manner of speaking as went from basic to advanced for a completed ship while changing the looks to one with rounded corners. Thanks for the basic model to work with as i like this 1 as my both my starter cv and advance mining cv model.

This ship is great, a fantastic design.

Vexray's done some cool stuff. I remember the glasswing, really cool concept, out of the box thinking.

Vexray was a friend of mine from this game that made really successful builds for a while. Was not surprised to see his work on the front page consistently. Its too bad people treated him poorly, me at one point sadly accusing him of taking the devs Eleons work. When it was the other way around. That is how we became friends though ha. Long story short this game was fun but seems to be causing me more issues this year. Apparently a lot of other players too with the base raiding update. Leaving negative reviews about how AI take your base away and such. Recently has not being doing well. Mine is optimizing issues.

Seems like you know a good bit more, and did some research. Well thanks for telling me figured it was the voter threshold you mentioned, just found it odd. This game is to much not being optimized really well. Causing my GPU to overheat. Sadly the safe zone with my power supply to GPU ratio is 79 degree C. Basically my power supply is starting to fail it seems. Started with this game this past year. When my GPU can get up to 83 to 94, before it starts to stress.Its very strange because i can play a game like Fallout 4 with no issues. This game makes my pc do a safety shut down after about 30 mins to an hour. Well anyways i still like checking peoples builds out and updates. But am afraid of this game now lol. Keep up the good work though i wont be building and updating anymore or Vexray.

Also, out of the 174 rankings, 166 are up (95%), and 8 down (5%). So the relationship between stars and votes certainly isn't linear.

What I'm really curious to see is how the new Steam library layout will affect ranking. In the past, I (and I imagine many), always used the game's front page in the library to see the top 3 designs. An interesting design would drag me in, then I browse the workshop. With that gone, I'm curious how the semantics of workshop voting will go.

I've always wondered about the rating system too. I've released designs I thought would kill but ended up going nowhere. Other stuff I've just posted The workshop showcase seems to be on a weekly cadence, and there's some vote "acceleration" going on, from what I can gather from the subscription chart only the poster can see. Making the front page is a matter of timing within the week, certainly.

I've never seen a 1 or 2 star either. I believe this to be of 2 reasons: 1st, there's a voter threshold in order to even show a star rating. And 2nd, something with downvotes doesn't get the attention it needs (top daily or weekly filter), and so never gets enough total votes to show a star rating. I typically get a few downvotes no matter what.

Reason why i brought up your ratings is because of my ship, yours. among many others. I never see anyone with 2 or 1 stars on their ships Its makes me wonder, any ideas on that?

Got a little suggestion: Add a description, where to find the Shield Gen Bay or put the LCD next to the shutter door for the drone. I spent 30min looking for it :D

I did a play through using the Alpha 9 version and I really liked it. I like what changes you made on the Alpha 10 version, I prefer it over the Alpha 9. I will have to try it on my next play though. I use a HV based upon the "Mouse" HV and it fits well in the cargo hold.

I keep getting stuck trying to get HV's in the back, its that top ramp!

Good feel on a test server. How does it handle when fully loaded?
