Hiya, thanks very much. :) Yes, I have seen cims sitting weirdly. I don't do 3D modeling but I believe it is encoded when you make an item like a prop in a program like Blender, since you can program position and direction in such programs. There's no functionality in asset editor to assign or fix this. So, it's something beyond my control - something done when a prop is made.

I replaced some other prop chairs in the series for this very reason (there are other prop chairs where cims sit incorrectly). Frustrating to hear that these do it, too!

In my City the cims use the front right hand quarter correctly, but especially on the left, they are sitting face away from the table. Also sometimes a cims sits mid air in front of this area. But i love it anyway. Endorsed and used. Thanks, mate.

Oh, the other mod aside from Move It that you need is this anarchy mod. Activate the mods in Control Panel, then in game hit CTRL A to turn on the anarchy mode. Hi there! Welcome to the game! :) There are two ways to do this, as detailed in the pictures above (modded and not modded which is commonly called "vanilla"). I think you're asking how to get a building behind the cafe? Then you would follow the modded instructions on the pictures. There's an additional thing you should do which is new to the game. When the buildings appear, click on each and select the "make historic" button. Then use the mod "Move It!" to move the buildings back from the street one square. now you can place these cafes in front of the buildings!

Probably a stupid question but I am still new at this. How to get a building to "stick to" the cafe asset please? I have the cafe assets on their own next to the road and it works great BUT there are no buildings that serve the tables? Thanks.

Hi, I won't be making more, but it's so easy to make some new ones for yourself. Click the restaurant umbrella item and you will see that SvenBerlin has made us a lot more umbrellas than I've used!
Main Menu, click Editors, then Asset Editor, Load, pick one of the cafes and start moving stuff around, changing decor... then save it with a new file name and tadah! You've got your own that you made yourself! :)
Don't blame me if you get addicted to asset creation, fair warning here that it's a lot of fun :D

these mods are awesome. Please tell me there are more about to come out. These are my fav ones definitely.

Even in U.S. cities, open-air malls and patio restaurant/cafe spaces where people congregate have become fairly common.

Definitely a missing element much needed for European style cities!

THIS is what I've been looking for! Little teeny sidewalk cafes that Cims can chill at, and that ALSO add to the park coverage. BRAVO!!!

UPDATE: table/chairs have been replaced with SvenBerlin metal wood table set because the set first used in this cafe had cims sitting in the air. Please subscribe to the new item on the right.

Funny you should mention: those are actually that's coming up quite soon. SvenBerlin made us all some more umbrellas, also Red Bull (used for the 2x1 cafe) is non-alcoholic (although tbh Red Bull is a bit worse than alcohol lol). Orangina orange soda is coming for example

Hi, yes they do! Using props inside a building (like a park) is the only way to get cims to use interactive props. Placed independently as props, cims will not use benches. This is why the gazebos in Parklife are actually building AI. I will add a picture showing this, since it's a regular question :)
Usually they use the chairs as normal, but sometimes they sit in weird places... but this is an issue across all buildings for some users, which says to me it might be a mod that group of players use.

Perfect for giving a little air between buildings and filling odd corners. :)

I also often use the vanilla technique, especially if it is not a historic row of European buildings. All that moving buildings around is *also* a lot of work. Again, lazy lol.

I love how you also show the non-mod players version. Actually, i have all mods, but lazy me uses that method to plop the current few cafes (not as nice as your set..) next to my commercials... You make my day MrMiyagi!
