You should be able to make all those changes via ModAdjuster.
I'm a server administrator and given that we use a tech system for thrusters, we would love to incorporate the baseline thrusters as well as create "teched" versions for our players to use. Would you be on board with us doing so? We would be more than happy to provide attribution.
So it'd be nice to see propeller only thrusters that don't look like a jet engine. I'd like this as a separate mod of course. These thrusters should be weaker, and have wider sizes. Always flat though, but I'd say 1x1x1, 3x3x1, 5x5x1, maybe even a 7x7x1? I dunno.
Up to you, just throwing an idea out there that I haven't seen anyone do in a long time. I haven't played this game in a long long time though as I couldn't find anyone to do things that help make the game more real feeling.

Are you sure? Can you verify by welding the thrusters up? Because they currently are using the normal thruster's build stages, so they may look like the normal thrusters until you finish building them.
I've just tested it ingame and it works fine on my end.

Is that the name of the block in your hotbar if the block was placed there already when you loaded into the game? If so, this is a bug with the Keen resx support. They know about it but haven't been able to look into it yet.
