Hi. It seems that when swimming with a wetsuit (fins), the normal speed, without shift is faster than when sprinting (holding shift). Anyway to fix that? perhaps increase the sprinted swimming speed?

I never tried it multiplayer, but i think animation should sync between clients. Not sure however.

Sorry but not involved with arma anymore :( I think there are other mods like ace that already done that, can´t really remember.

Can you do a Mod to run faster? Like you can have the same speed like you are running with your binocular? Running in Arma is like 18/19 km/h. It should be arround 23/24km/h (in Arma running speed with binocular is arround 23 km/h).

Hmm, I´m not squite sure. I think you should ask the creator of Swim in any uniform mod, i think he got more experience in this area. All i did was tweak config file values.

Does this mod allow you to use your firearm while treading water as though you're wearing a wetsuit with flippers? I prefer these animations to the ones used in the Swim in Any Uniform mod. That one basically just gives all uniforms vanilla wet suit mechanics, so the animations look silly when not wearing a uniform with flippers. It is functional though in that you can operate your weapon while treading water. Is it impossible to have both? Or maybe be able to switch from SCUBA swim to a normal vanilla swim mode?

I love this mod with fast ladders in SP and can you make a speed up mod with this as a base and speeding up walking, running, climb (hill), ladder, holster, pullout and reload weapon FASTER? Because it is so slow in the game when players are running from end to end on the map, traveling or drawing their weapons.

Ran into something odd. It seems that with the full diving suit on, the standard swim speed, (equivalent to jog/run) is faster than the double-tapped, boosted, aka 'sprint' speed.

U mean basically making a tweaked version of this very same mod, but increasing ur speed by like 30-90 times?

But, I think that it should be at least optional if you want (or not) to "not get the speed boost if you are too heavy"

Ad Sisyphus try simply using the "CBU-85" support from DUWS (Overhauled 1.19) when the computer is pretty much on overload. What you get are 5 minutes of a certain zone having one grenade explosion every few seconds, and one the few final seconds everything that is inside of said zone gets killed instantly by a script.
I literally had to get into the source files of the mission and re-write the code for this support because it was game breaking for me. So I say that my concearns are by no way, shape or form "unbased".
Specially when this week I took DUWS to such a limit where there was so many AI that the AIs pretty much just broke down.

You're right on there. In UMO's defense however, the code is very lightweight and doesn't take a lot of time to execute. This mod's theoretical counterpart would be very similar.

Yea, I almost forgot, IIRC even Ravage has something along those lines. However what I am mildly worried about is IF this might affect people while runnins missions on pretty much overload of the Computer, as a LOT of stuff gets crazy when the Scheduler gets overloaded.

It's absolutely possible to adjust animation speed based on loadout weight. My own UMO mod does it just fine. Nobody here is overthinking things, we're just interested in extra realism. The only "trick" here is coming up with an equation and implementing it in SQF, and I'm willing to assist in that regard.

I agree, swimming should be a little slower with full armor on and faster without but i don´t think the engine allow you to tweak it that way.

LUL, here comes the people that wanna overthink stuff... Why not just enjoy this, and be happy with it? Even if you had a plate and most of you gear made out of the lightest possibly known material, but you were to take a Bergen bag full of ammo, a Navid, and a rocket launcher and you wee to enter the water, I am pretty sure that you would still be able to ( IN GAME ) swimm, and stay around the water surface without being dragged down to the bottom as if you were wearing Mafia's stereotypical concrete shoes.

While in said in game scenario you would be maxed out on the Stamina/Fatigue aspects, it is still perfectly possible to IN GAME go and swimm. But for God's sake do not even think about carrying (or worse, somehow strapping it into yourself) about 20+ kilograms of steel and entering any water!

@Phant0m not everyone is wearing that when they enter the water. also, wouldnt you just sink with all that gear you described anyway? arma is unrealistic in a lot of senses anyhow.

Id agree if the game allowed you to swim faster when you had absolutely nothing on

Waaaaaay too fast, the normal animation is realistic. Remember you are wearing a full military uniform, boots, often a helmet, plate carrier, weapon, sidearm and I could keep on going. This mod is basically just for impatient people (wrong game to play if you're impatient)
