Some instructions are included (on cards in the box).

You're free to play it any way you like of course, but general rules I think fit is:
-Try to get to the next hole with as few hits as possible
-Maximum 10 hits (you progress to the next hole after 10, for balance against weaker players)
-If you land in a pit, you start from the pad around the previous hole (or the starting pad) for your next shot
-You can place the ball anywhere within each pad when you start a new hole, or after you fall in a pit
-The player with the lowest score at the end wins

The platform in the bottom left corner is the starting point.
