Most soundtrack.audio mods made after 0.10 work in any version of the game lol
Specifically there is an intensity level that increases based on how bad stuff is going on the Submarine, this changes the music when a new level of intensity is reached. I think I tried to add tracks that fit the intensity, without overlapping to prevent the same song cutting out and playing again from the start.
The game will choose semi randomly between vanilla music when a monster is nearby and legacy music. I can't replace vanilla music with legacy music without introducing incompatibilities.
