I have now made it so that it isn't possible to "reveal real father" on your own children. If you want my tweaks so that you can see them and toss them into the mod yourself, just let me know.

This is exactly what I was looking for.

I have like... no idea how to mod so you saved my life sir.

However I found it weird that this didn't add the legit_bastard trait to the child that you reveal, so I made myself my own variation that does add that, also one that give me the option for daughters.

I noticed a strange forthcoming with this as well. If the real father is a different lover than you, you can still call for that secret bastard to become your own. One of my lovers had sons from some random other-lover and I accidentally claimed them lol

@KaiserFeet Your character can't be female. The targetted characters ingame displayed father has to be a fake one. You are a lover or former lover of the targeted characters mother. Targeted Character has a opinion of 50 or higher of you.

@Pawkkie that should be doable, you mainly would have to change stuff in the potential sections for targets and choice makers, but that shouldnt be all too hard.

Does anyone know what the Precise Conditions are for the Option to show up?

I'm a pretty rookie CK2 modder myself, and I'm trying to figure out how to apply the exact same thing this mod does, but that can also be used on daughters and can also be used by a female player character in addition to a male one. D'you think your mod would adapt to this easily, or d'you think there are some fundamental things that'd need to change? Thanks for the sweet mod btw :)

You should probably at least lose some piety for this though, but it sounds really fun! You could also let the cuckold get the "rivalry" CB against you, would seem fitting if the ruler in question is, say, the Byzantine emperor.

It 100% works. You probably don't fulfill some of the conditions.

To add what to Lioth said, I suppose if its public knowledge your lover is somebody's wife and then she has kids, you could spread rumours and seed doubts on the legitimacy of the kids. Before outright revealing the kids true lineage. Would actually be a pretty schemey rp way to discredit future rulers or maybe stealth bastardize an heir.

Lioth you should indeed be able to pretend to be the father of kids, IF YOU KNOW THAT THEIR SUPPOSED FATHER ISNT THEIR REAL ONE. This isn't intended, but due to technical limitations the only feasible and reasonable possibility, i.e. there are no other ways to "scope" (CK2 code way to refer to something) to the father in the way you need (in the "from_potential" type of code section that determines who can potentially take a decision), because unrevealed bastard children don't count as your children even though the game knows they are. All clear? ;)

Maybe I understand it wrong, but you can reveal father only if you are the real father? Your description makes me think I can do this to all kids of my lover even of the kids that aren't mine.
