in half-life 2 you can do exactly that, gmod just disables being able to tell followers where to go

I was playing entropy zero 2 and thought, what if we just implemented it's following and hold positon commands in the default HL2 followers system? Just hit a button and your followers will either hold position by holding or double tapping the key or go to wherever the cross hair is pointed via a "move here" press or "fall in on me/ follow me" via a press once they've held a position or starting moving.

Entropy zero 2 does it very intuitively via just one key for all 3 squad commands and has hand animations and a simple keybind similar to that of vmanip in gmod for certain mods like contextual animations or quick nade etc.

Would love to see someone come up with a real time ai command system like that.

Oh. I like the mod, and I hope there would be one for AI commanders to be added so we can have AI also be able to use this tool. It's a great idea.

having a little issue with the mod. when i tried to use E+R ( follow me command ) it wont work and give me this error [AI Commanding] lua/weapons/weapon_vj_command/shared.lua:501: attempt to call method 'FollowPlayerCode' (a nil value)

Would totally be into it if you got rid of the weapon and used console commands instead for realism. Nice work either way though.

i have an idea i cant make but i guess i will write it here. so everyone knows how combine can command citizens and stuff (example: in the beginning of hl2 he says: pick up that can. ) so you could command citizens to follow you or get to the ground and stuff like that. it would be soo cool sadly i don't know coding or anything i just hope someone could make this

Depends on what you are trying to do it with, if it's my nextbots you can set your faction to theirs or use the tool gun so they become friendly to only you

@R4YCER Each base has its own method but you can always change your relationships/factions so they are friendly to you but not your friend

is it possible to command enemies? i want to do a battle with my friend where we each have an army of our own.

An award is too little for the effort it would take to make them do that

can i make them drive a tank, if you make that happen i give you a award

when vj npcs are moving to a target or destination if they have to fight any thing they stop trying to go to their target or place
