Locklave - this book isn't the only account of the time period, it's just a popular one. There are very few characters in the book and from what is known of the culture and time period regardless of the book, the role of females was familial.

@Locklave. Zheng Jiang has an interesting unique model and her own unique faction. You know what I do to the random female generals? Execute them on capture, the same I do to the hordes of generic male generals as well. Any non-ROT3K character I capture I execute. The names they give them look like they came out of a random Chinese name generator. Oh look I just capture the female sentinel Ching Yuangpeng. Like gtfo CA...seriously. Be offended by that and not because people who are fans of ROT3K don't want endless hordes of made up generals. Also they left out many historical generic generals for the main factions as well. Yuan Shu; being one of my favorites to play as in 3K does not have Chen Lan, Yue Jiu, or Lei Bo. They all had useless stats and were barely useful in battle but I will take them over Han Sui's female heir; Han Anyue.

Everything in this game is basically storybook garbage that was VERY loosely based on real events. Arguments of historical accuracy are a deflection at best.

Just admit you don't like women to be in major roles in this fantasy setting and move on.

FYI Zheng Jiang in history might not have existed or might have infact been 2 women running bandits named Zheng and Jiang. She is literally a footnote character made up from nothing with no details. Is the game better for her being there? I guess.

Finally, I was about to do this. I can totally understand they wanted to make the game appealing to everyone but having historic stuff twisted because of modern days' sensibilities isn't really cool imo.

And as far as I can tell, the only woman who fought on the frontlines in this period was Wang Yi. Zheng Jiang might have, but in either way she's a nobody and shouldn't have been given all these massive stats, an average generic character would suffice. Though her looks really are awesome.

And to the people doing hate speeches in the comment section no, that's not being misogynist. If you have a problem with the reality of that time period it's ok, you can personalize your game to your own taste. But claiming this is wrong and less accurate is just not true.

So there were great men in Chinese history, and there were great women in Chinese history. Random male figures are allowed to rise up to positions they never had, but random women can't? It is more accurate in game mechanics to allow woman to become generals... Just saying.

I like the idea of this but i see one problem with this mod. Is there still a generation of wives? Although they should not be generals women still need to be generated to produce offspring. Do women still spawn in for the purpose or are we forced to just hire new generals as the family dies out?

awesome mode although after spending some time playing, it is now extremely hard to find spouse for your children and generals.. might as well reduce their spawn rate to 5% instead.
