Is that a bug or is it intentional?
The problem that happens is the grid is torqued to the left at extreme speeds, usually to its demise...
when I try to shoot it I won't wind up blowing my own face off.....
Alb, you're correct in the unrealistic drop, anything slower and you get a very long distance and even more inaccurate projectile, and look up the Type 89 "Knee Mortar", may make more sense on this thing's performance. I'll probably make it more expensive yes.
Sadly I can't sort the damage as that's a Keen thing. They 'optimised' explosions but broke damage so that anything in radius is deleted not just damaged, so I set the radius to 1 to help avoid it.
And yes Brockster, it does destroy terrain but only in small amounts.
* The maximum horizontal range when fired at 45 degrees seems to be set exactly at 350m (not counting for differences in elevation)
* It's cheap af. Literally 2 steel plates and you're done.
* To fire it, you got to open it using your terminal hotkey and clicking "shoot once." It doesn't seem to want to shoot continuously, so you have to keep clicking every time.
* The projectile is FAST and drops VERY FAST. It's not realistic, but I think it's fine. A concession in favor of gameplay.
* The projectile is easy to see. It's lit up and has a trail for easy targeting.
All in all I really like it. My only suggestion is to add one or two large tubes to the build requirements, because, you know, it's a tube... and I'm a big sperg.
