Is "The Wolf's Call" the same thing but better?
Do you have any plans to expand the scope?
Would love to see/play any more variants. A random sub count would be nice.
I too think it would be nice to have the option of spawning in a few more enemy subs, or even surface ships spawn in if desired.
additionally, I think a 1946-1979 era scenario would be fun as well, able to use older ASW platforms like FRAM 1 DDs with DASH or diesel electric subs against each other.
The first time neither of us could identify the other, despite closing within 100m. I eventually just fired a torpedo after the 'unidentified' SSN passed me. I won, but the Akula's reply destroyed a torpedo tube and damaged some minor equipment.
The second time I was able to identify the Victor 5-6 miles out and launched two torpedoes in a spread. The sub ran away without responding and was killed by the second torpedo.
Cool mission. Dunno if it would be within the purview of the scenario, but it would be nice to have a bit more variety/things of interest. At the very least, perhaps the possibility of *two* enemy subs.
Still, a fun few minutes of gameplay with minimal manual setup.
