kelstr 7. maj kl. 14:01
Any chance we could have this AMAZING mod updated for 4.0?
kelstr 27. apr. kl. 17:13
Hmmm this mod is working for me in the latest build; except mining station icons appear cut off and war ship icons appear cut off.... anyone know how to solve this?
black_rose 28. jan. kl. 13:37
i second this. i just want smaller or removed icons for my stations
wehrWolf 18. jan. kl. 0:06
Hey Foxt! I hope you see this. While I get that changes to how the UI works seems to have made it impossible for this mod to continue, I was wondering if it was possible to just have the the map icons (planets, starbases, ships, etc) be changed to how you did it in this mod. I dont have much modding experience, outside of editing some existing mods, but if you think this is possible, I would be more than happy to work on this and publish it. If you have any advice or ideas on this, I'd really appreciate it.
Lewtz 9. juni 2024 kl. 14:38
This is a shame, this was a must have mod for me. Sucks the game changed it

@[Dire_Venom]

Immersive Beautiful Stellaris has some similiar features, like the UI minification.

Any chance one of you kind players knows of a mod with similar features?
슈팅스타 11. feb. 2024 kl. 0:14
@authentic_tincan yes. this mod has been retired.
authentic_tincan 6. dec. 2023 kl. 10:25
so... based offthe comments, this mod is capoot? as well as that two year mark on the last update date
슈팅스타 10. maj 2023 kl. 4:48
@Foxt may ask to modding den: https://discord.gg/bHVez2C
Foxt  [ophavsmand] 18. apr. 2023 kl. 1:30
I'm afraid I don't know how to resolve this, since it's adding new functionality to how the UI elements work instead of just what they look like. I'm not a programmer.

I might just have to retire this mod if that's the case.
卡尔文迪斯梅特 12. apr. 2023 kl. 1:24
The UI popover bug seems to be related to anti-stealth level and intelligence level, this has not been seen since the Sentinels were built, while the ui popover bug we saw earlier was for star bases with high anti-stealth level.
Cosmosteller 29. mar. 2023 kl. 6:01
@Foxt Found the error again, and sadly the bug in this mod seems to be right. It's a bug that happens when you select a cloaking unit (fleet or observation post), it seems to be an error related to the cloaking strength UI of vanilla. I will attach two screenshots related to it. => https://imgur.com/a/mqbGvkQ
Foxt  [ophavsmand] 25. mar. 2023 kl. 8:15
That's a relief, I wouldn't know how to fix it if it was caused by this mod.
Cosmosteller 24. mar. 2023 kl. 8:14
I'm sorry to have worried you. I tried to reproduce the error, but it's not working... At that time, the error occurred only in certain saves, but I think it was probably a different problem. It may have been a UI Overhaul issue.
Foxt  [ophavsmand] 24. mar. 2023 kl. 7:51
I will play around with it, but this doesn't seem like an issue with code and not with art images.
If that's the case I may not be able to fix this one.

Is anyone else having the same issue @Melon_Sour is having?
Cosmosteller 16. mar. 2023 kl. 22:02
Thank you for the great mod. After the 3.7 update, clicking on a cloaking ship or observation post has caused many blank ui bugs. like this -> https://i.imgur.com/KK7M7XU.jpg
Foxt  [ophavsmand] 14. feb. 2023 kl. 15:55
@Winterwolf

How exactly are you patching it? This mod doesn't remove the ship health bars, per se, it makes them transparent and therefore invisible. If that mod is loading after mine and overwriting it, whatever graphic it's using will appear instead of the clear one I have in this mod.
Winter 1. feb. 2023 kl. 20:31
Really like the mod Foxt because I do sometimes find myself distracted by visual noise.
Unfortunately https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2409209888 doesn't play too well with this mod. The hull & armour bars remain on ships & mining stations despite the last couple hours of me trying to patch it with Irony. If you've got any suggestions it'd be much appreciated.
Neverminder 2. okt. 2022 kl. 12:48
its compatible
Vecho 2. okt. 2022 kl. 7:01
There is guide in steam which teach you how to enable arhievement when playing with mods. You have to edit the exe though.
Foxt  [ophavsmand] 2. okt. 2022 kl. 6:45
@Pnevma I'm honestly not sure since I never mind achievements. Just boot the game up with only this mod installed and see if it permits achievements.
Neverminder 25. sep. 2022 kl. 18:18
this is definitely achievement compatible right? im about to try doing an achievement run and im new to this- been using Foxt's Minimalist UI forever and can't ever stomach uninstalling it. vital mod
Vecho 24. sep. 2022 kl. 1:36
Thanks for the reply.
Foxt  [ophavsmand] 20. sep. 2022 kl. 19:45
@Vecho
I'm afraid I don't have the coding knowledge to change how things are displayed in the UI. All I can do is change the image that is displayed, which is a simple art adjustment I can do in GIMP. You'll have to find a more knowledgeable programmer to make a mod that selectively turns names on or off based on conditions like being colonized or not.
Vecho 18. sep. 2022 kl. 0:28
Great mod. Small suggestion:
1. Hide system name which do not have an colonized planet in galaxy map, sinc they are not important and their name clutter the map. You can always hit Alt to see those name anyway.
2. Simplify the ship icon by removing the ship from those ship icon. For example, navy icon show only star.
Just my thinking.
Thanks for the mod.
Foxt  [ophavsmand] 30. juli 2022 kl. 17:22
@Arcafanetiz This mod does not modify that in any way.
Arcafanetiz 27. juli 2022 kl. 20:22
Is there anyway to disable the snapping of the unit ui when you zoom your camera, so that it's always on the unit itself?
Foxt  [ophavsmand] 2. juli 2022 kl. 12:36
Mod has been updated, seems to work with my initial playtesting. I'll monitor the comments for a bit to see if anyone reports any problems.
Mondkind 21. juni 2022 kl. 14:45
Thanks for working on an update, I absolutely love this UI.
Foxt  [ophavsmand] 19. juni 2022 kl. 18:21
I''ll try to relearn how to upload these things and get a fix out this week.
Dizzy Ioeuy 31. maj 2022 kl. 19:34
3.4 broke it.,,
kmedal99 13. maj 2022 kl. 4:17
It doesn't work on 3.4 ... icons look cut off as Foxt had said. plz can you fix it ?
kinngrimm 21. mar. 2022 kl. 8:08
3.2 and 3.3 sofar worked as well
kinngrimm 2. dec. 2021 kl. 5:17
3.1 worked, 3.2 not sure yet, pls update :)
Foxt  [ophavsmand] 26. okt. 2021 kl. 18:50
@Liggi
Do you know for certain if this mod has this problem when run alone? Or is it caused by an interaction with another mod?

All I know for certain is that anything which changes the ribbon all the icons are on, will mess this mod up. You will likely have to make a version of that ribbon yourself which looks like mine but is compatible with whatever other mod is changing it.
Liggi 19. okt. 2021 kl. 6:28
If I had some misaligned icons, and I wanted to fix them... is there a way I could go about creating a patch to fix them? For example, for me, the Colony Ship icon is misaligned, and some of the Station ones etc. but a whole bunch of them seem to be absolutely fine.

I'm trying to figure out if there's values I can tweak somewhere to just fix the particular ones that aren't correct? Or is it more complicated than that?
Foxt  [ophavsmand] 17. sep. 2021 kl. 19:29
So far as I can tell from initial testing, the mod seems to work fine with the Lem update. Let me know here if anyone experiences any issues and I'll actually pull out the code and dig deeper.
Sig 21. aug. 2021 kl. 9:44
@goog : Same bug here, but, for me, that's come from some compatibility problem with "Smaller Resource Icons 3.0.x" mod (even when i try to swap the place of "Smaller Resource Icons 3.0.x " and Foxt's mod in the launcher).
Just disable "Smaller Resource Icons 3.0.x" and Foxt's mod works perfectly well.

@ Foxt : Yes, keep it functional, please! And thanks again for this must-have mod!
Foxt  [ophavsmand] 20. aug. 2021 kl. 13:50
I will update it so long as the game hasn't changed so radically it would require re-doing everything. I've honestly been surprised that other people use this mod, but so long as you do I'll try to keep it functional.
†MLS† KIRINAS ';,†,;' ;,,; 19. aug. 2021 kl. 12:50
So... it gonna be abandoned after new update in sep?
kinngrimm 10. aug. 2021 kl. 18:32
I just started an ironman/achievment playthough and was wondering if this mod would be compatible to such? If not i still will use it in my more heavily modded games nevertheless :)
Foxt  [ophavsmand] 22. juni 2021 kl. 20:49
@walks with trees

I like the colors the way they are, and while it's possible to add variations for them I honestly do not want to commit myself to upkeeping several versions of this mod that are palette swaps. This one's hard enough for me to keep up to date and functional. You are welcome to try your hand at customizing it, though, and if you do I'll link your work in the mod's description.
goog 28. maj 2021 kl. 12:32
There's a bug that flag emblems of fleet show up
Daegan Jukes 26. maj 2021 kl. 19:33
this is the perfect mod for increasing what you can see in system when things are pretty busy.
Walks with Trees 24. maj 2021 kl. 6:04
love this mod. Thanks for making.

Is there anyway you could have the planet names grey instead of white? I find the white text quite immersion breaking as the white really stands out. The un-surveyed planets have grey text names and it looks so much better. Changing any white icon or text to grey would be preferable.
Corvias 11. maj 2021 kl. 5:35
@Foxt, Yes, Minimilist UI is the only mod I had running when I made that screenshot. It isn't just the outliner, though. It's icons shown in the Galaxy view as well. Specifically, the ones that indicate what level the starbase in a system is. I'll try to get a screenshot of it later. I think it may have something to do with how frames/sprites are referenced in the mapicons sprite sheet.
Foxt  [ophavsmand] 10. maj 2021 kl. 20:13
Have you tried running the game with only this mod active to see if the problem persists? It is possible this mod causes it, though I don't know how since I do not modify anything directly relating to the outliner, and I would think any problem seen there would also occur on the system UI.
Corvias 8. maj 2021 kl. 7:50
I think this mod is causing an issue with the way some icons are displayed in the outliner. Specifically, when your empire has an observation post. Instead of showing the "eye" icon, it shows a clipped version of the wormhole icon. Here is a screenshot [i.imgur.com] of the game running with this mod as the only active one.
