Hi, tried out Thorton. Have noticed a strange on-going issue with him involving infinite combat rewards if I run from something. I don't know why, but it's happened back to back in runs now.

Thoughtfully made and very funny. I'm too impatient to play a mod that actually weakens your starting character relative to the base game.

Those act 1 fights are already the most tedious part of replaying matches bc they play out so similarly every time, and I just don't have the attention span for a character that specifically drags out those fights.

That said - this is a cool and funny mod and you should probably give it a try anyway.

Administrative Actions seems to only give me Madness, whatever i write in the box..

While messing around with the new administrative actions, I discovered an interesting "feature" where after playing the administrative actions you can save & exit and continue but you keep your text box. This allows you to get the card's effect after restarting the combat or, better yet, get multiple copies of the card's effect by repeating the process. Made for quite a fun run.

i discovered a bug : when you use duplication potion with the card that makes you choose between doubleing its gold value or reclaim that gold it gives you WAY more gold that it should (i played it at 4096 gold and gave me like 24000)

hi can i check if this mod needs an active internet connection and discord account to play?

when i tried to add this mod to play, it crashed before reaching the menu with a message about not being able to connect with discord4java

using admin action causes a crash, how do you use it without crashing the game?

the new change to administrative actions (type the name of the card) is weird and causing crashes for me. can i toggle it back to its old behavior?

Originally Thorton did start with a business card, unfortunately this made things much harder than you think as you already have Normality in the early comments and a second brick made things overly frustrating. You don't always need relics to survive - try leaning into Strength?

One of my favorite mods I've played, I really enjoy the running and investment/business card mechanics. One suggestion is to have him start with a business card, it can sometimes be hard to get the extra relics Thorton needs to survive without getting any business cards/investments in act 1.

It crashed once. I played Fair Trade to recover Shifting Octopus but I think I only had Fair Trade in hand when I played it (and it needs to Exhaust a card).

It's the only modded character I've been playing - I like how you don't want to always finish right away - so that you can make more money.

i'll probably just remove that power - it's both buggy and too strong run-wise for my tastes. Thanks though!! I'm glad to hear people are still enjoying The Thorton. I'll fix the duplicate relic bug with this update too.

In Ascension I think you should always trade your starting relic away and always go for the nearest shop to get rid of Normalcy.

Runic Pyramid seems to help this character a lot.

Thanks, been playing this one a lot - up to Ascension 6. The power that gives you a Run when you take damage - you will continue to take damage from other enemies after you have Run off the screen - and you can die too - don't know if that can be fixed.

Crashing Stocks: I'm not losing 100 Gold when I play the card.

Ah I see that there are some strong rare cards that start "locked".

I also found a bug (maybe?) with one of the Artifact creating cards (cost 4). It created an artifact I already had. The only negative consequence was it moved it to the far right in the list and the original position became blank. No mods.

I got 2 copies of orichalcum from the cards, was playing with this and vexmod, not sure how to reproduce. Didnt cause any issues but doesnt seem intended.

upgraded octopus only does 2 things when upgraded instead of 3.

That victory against the heart screen after getting all the keys is absolutely beautiful. Makes all the pain of struggling as Thorton worth it.

Shifting Octopus causes CTD every time it's played.

@DarkVexon I made a few discussions with bug reports/implementation changes for certain aspects of the mod that I've come across thus far (I've kept it there so as not to cloud the comments, nor have the suggestions/corrections be lost).
