Thank you for making this. My only complaint is how Vanilla enemies have to be disabled (I don't really use mods that add enemies or modify them so I was initially confused with all the options presented). Other than that, great stuff. Thanks again. :btd6thumbsup:

Most vanilla enemies are needed to progress in story. It's easy enough using the ini file and it doesn't require me to do tedious work 🥳
How can I help you find the file? The name is mentionned in description. The folder within your workshop folder is 1782917748.

why did you make it easy to disable enemies from mods that i dont even have, and vanilla enemies need to be disabled via .ini files which i dont even know how to access those files?

The issue is not adding them manually. Granted it's tedious but that's not why I'm hesitant. I want to rework how I set the MCM config so any mod can add its own entries. And so far I didn't get the time to work on it, sorry

For those wondering: Aliens tied to researches are forced by the game to appear at least once when they're associated research becomes available until you've aqquired the means to do the associated researches, and have completed them.

This mod doesn't circumvent that logic, and adding anything associated to what the game considers 'integral' research (research on the path to unlocking Waterworld) only effects the chosen items outside of this logic rule.

Unfortunately, it didn't work for me either. :steamsad: I tried to disable the muton from the mod "A Requiem For Man: The Requiem Legion" I first asked the author for in-game unit's name, after that I entered into the ini file:
+DisableAlien=AHWMutonMagna
Muton Fantassin continues to spawn on every missions (even a in-game month after editing the ini file).
Clearing the Config folder (from Documents\My Games\XCOM2 War of the Chosen\XComGame) didn't help either.

Hello, i'm running into an issue where game still spawns/generates/etc. an alien even though i've clicked to disable it through MCM. Specifically Chrysalid's. Believe there are 3 types, I selected to disable each, however i'm several hours into my campaign and the game has suddenly decided to use them. Am I doing something wrong or is this just how it is? Is there a fix that wont require me to start a new game?

Good job on release @BlackDog ! Unfortunately I have no plan on updating the mod for now. If I were to work on it again I would change how the menu handled so mods can expand on it.
I have it on Github though not sure it's up to date.

This mod is great. I've had a lot of bug issues with certain enemies (especially "Prime" enemies from ABA that can do weird stuff on the 'reveal move', e.g. Sectoid Prime Puppeteer, and also the Boa enemy too). Just getting rid of them is easier than any other fix. Good stuff.

I must be missing something, but I can't find the XComDisableAliens.ini anywhere. Only the XComChooseYourAliens.ini I want to disable most of the organic aliens and only play with ADVENT.

No you can disable individually any unit. The link is for you to know the ingame name of the unit you want disabled.
