Not sure what that has to do with this mod, but press the power icon in the info bar (top middle) it'll show grids grouped in coloured hexes.

So, sometimes I get that stupid msg about my power grid being split even though it's all still technically connected with wire in and wire out other side. Is this normal? I hate that msg, lol...ocd talking.

You normally have to remove cables before placing construction sites...
