Yes and no lol. Many of them are my own work, many of them were orignaly made by Megabalta but in most cases have been heavily edited to suit the needs and style of the mod. Megabalta also made particles for EaW:remake and a few others.

These visual effects like the ship explosions are absolutely amazing. Are these original or do other mods use them as well? Makes me wish all the mods used them!

Garm is in...but the Gargantuan was removed because I never liked it and its abilities were buggy as all hell. Instead, he is in his proper place as a fleet admiral, onboard the Peregrine.

Quick question. Are you going to add Garm bel iblis to the rebellion faction at some point in time? I am just asking, because he is a major hero in the base game, and I would love to see how you animate the gargantuan in comparison to the original game.

@Kay: If you are trying to launch from the in-game mod menu, it often doesn't work. Its somewhat inconsistent... You need to just add the modpath to the game's launch options.

@TheHelper: You can't start at the lowest tech level. Something to do with how they coded the base game Rebels...a tech level hack where they started at Tech 2 for the droids to work right. Unfortunately when I changed HOW they advance tech, this was an unintended side effect. Unsure at the moment how to fix...just make sure you start GC as New Republic at tech 2.

Right now I'm working on my other mod, Halo: Campaign Commander. RotM is considered "finished" aside from the occasional bug fix or maybe updated model if someone commissions it. Otherwise, there won't be new features or the like unless somebody else makes them as a sub mod or something.

Oh no there should be WAY more models than 30... There are a few models loose in the Models folder (these were included in a recent patch). But most will be in Models.meg

Are you using the Meg editor to look inside there or just looking in the folder?

Missing from gameplay or you just cant find them in the xml files? If they are totally missing from gameplay then unsub, deleted all files related to the mod (if any left over) and sub again. Something will have gone wrong with the install.

this is one of the best mods. all of the ship models and ground units look fantastic. and actually seeing the guns move on the ships and fire is awesome too. :steamhappy:

That skirmish bug about needing a player is still prevalent, its only on curtain maps though. kessel and genosis are the 2 i found that don't work but bespin works.

Great to see this New Republic era mod, but gotta say, those explosions are way too loud, cant hear VO behind them =D Also is the question mark menu suuposed to be absent (kinda love those graphs and also a way to disable annoyin hints is gone=(

I understand. The commandos are still an awesome unit regardless. Also, it is a shame to hear that the saved games thing doesn't work. I was sure that it would. In any case, thank you very much for all the hard work you put into making this mod work. Can't remember if I said this already, but I am just going to say it again: This mod is, by far, one of my top favorite star wars mods I play on the PC. I wish you success in your endeavors.

Two comments because character limits...

For the attacking buildings, I have noticed since the recent Petroglyph updates that a LOT of units seem to not attack structures at all. Melee units totally ignore them and other types of units have a difficult time targeting them unless they are extremely close. However, some inconsistency with attacking buildings has been an issue in this game for a very long time, particularly for CQC units like the Commandos.... Which is why the Jedi in the base game were given the "earthquake" force ability specifically for structures. Because melee attack vs buildings is wildly inconsistent. So, idk how to rectify this without giving all CQC units a building-specific attack ability or similar.

@harrisonkscot: I have actually done saved games, and have even borrowed save files from other people to test their specific save files. In both cases, I have not had a crash. I believe the issue is a memory leak somewhere, where the save file can't finish loading or creates some kind of instability after loading and causes the crash. As a result, this MAY be hardware specific, it may also be something that doesn't happen consistently etc...which is why its so dang hard to repro.

Hey, so I may have noticed another bug in the game. Specifically, the storm commandos don't seem to be able to attack buildings or other structures any more. Is this intentional, or is it a genuine bug?

I have a suggestion for the author, in terms of reproducing the crash for the imperial remnant. Thing is, the crash doesn't happen instantly, it takes time. It is possible to finish the entire game as the imperial remnant in one go without experiencing the crash, if you are patient enough. I played around a little bit with this particular bug, and I noticed an interesting pattern to this crash. For some reason, the crash only occurs for the imperial remnant faction AFTER you have saved the game a certain amount of times.

Basically, I don't know if the author has tried this yet, but have you tried saving and uploading the imperial remnant faction a couple of times? If not, I would suggest giving it a try. That's what triggers the crash for me.

This is a bug from the original DE release. I have seen several crash logs, talked to lots of people. I am unable to reproduce the issue at all on my end. I've spoken to other modders and basically the general conclusion is that its likely a common issue with several mods, related to scripts and the game running out of memory after a bit. I can't confirm that....because, like I said, I can't repro the crash.

Are you setting the starting tech level to zero? There's a bug in the base game where if you set tech level to zero, the NR can't build or research certain things... They tweaked the "Rebel Alliance" faction in the base game to always start at tech one, not zero because they needed it for campaign. This has some weird effects on Galactic Conquest if you adjust the starting tech level as them.

@Turncoat: Super units should never be a "deciding factor". If the key to victory is just building a big ship and clicking the attack button, are you really even playing?
