I use the Profiency Class Reaper and can't select this. But I'm not seeing anything obvious I could edit either.

If I can ask an unrelated question, what headset/glasses are those in your preview pictures?
Congrats on the mod, the crossbow looks amazing!
Just wondering do the crossbows have animations? Firing, reloading etc
Why not change the characteristics of the weapon? why there is no such function / maybe it is worth adding the name of the weapon to the XCOM / WEAPON DATA.ini file

Loadouts=(LoadoutName="SquaddieReaper", Items[0]=(Item="ReaperArmor"), Items[1]=(Item="VektorRifle_CV"), Items[2]=(Item="Reaper_Claymore"))
Switch out VektorRifle_CV for CrossbowVektor_CV and you should be good to go, no need to disable base game Vektor rifles and I probably wouldn't just in case of any weird bugs.
I edited the DefaultClassData.ini file like this :
[Reaper X2SoldierClassTemplate]
;AllowedWeapons=(SlotType=eInvSlot_PrimaryWeapon, WeaponType="vektor_rifle")
AllowedWeapons=(SlotType=eInvSlot_PrimaryWeapon, WeaponType="CrossbowVektor_CV")
It didn't work, reapers appears without weapon. :/
