I believe it has something to do with the demonic ritual you can do in the catacombs. I just dont't know how to activate the ritual.

@Utini Wupwup 1 Gets you access to bodies lost to the lava pool or pit, 1 gets you access to a T trap and 1 gets you the secret knife.
