Regarding my questions, is there any other known mod that fit what I look for? Can you help me find it?

Formula wont work without mass. This wont work for you.

I am looking for a mod to set 100m/s as cruise speed and 200m/s as max speed, editing the config of this mod is the closest I found so far. So I have a few questions.

1: For server performance I'd like to disable the mass check of the mod, is it possible? I inted to leave as light and straight foward as possible, I only care for cruise and max speeds for all ships equal.

2: What happens if I set weights to 1 and 2, leaving every ship out of range for mass check?

If you think I'm testing with the wrong mod for what I seek, would gladly take advice of other mods, as I said, this is the closest I found. Thanks for your help.

ah... then nope what you ask isnt codeable. keen didnt code for grids as projectiles, and you cant differentiate that way in the skybox ( which is where these speeds are ) this grid as missile this grid not... grid is grid.

Hi Skalla,

Sorry let me elaborate- the railgun I build physically propels Blast Door Grids :) So they wouldn't be labelled as 'munitions' by the game, but as grids.

this doesnt affect weapon munitions speeds.

I love this mod, but I have one question- I love using railguns in my builds, so I'd like this mod to work, up to its regular maximums for large/small grids with the boost function, but also install a mod that removes the speed limit up to about 900 m/s. Is it possible to do that?

In other words, piloting a ship = max of 160/200 (large/small) m/s. Not piloting a ship = 900 m/s.

Good mod if you always wanted more speed but you also wanted it to be balanced. Also it's great if you reckon speed was a boring mechanic. Makes it much more fun and fighters are a great choice for testing out the mod.

I want this mod but I'm thinking if AI scripts work with this? Wouldn't they just yeet themselves?

yeah boost speeds if you have multiple grids over 100 m/s you will get the physics wanting to tilt the ship... thats keen.... ( ie small ship docked on a landing gear to the ship or small on large rotor etc )

I've been testing this for some days, and I haven't noticed any critical failures (just some weird tilts at boost speed), I have even played a bit with the physics iterations value, but default (8) works for the best balance between [CPU on fire] and [usability]. Great mod.

thats why i set non - insane speeds , and as well, a number of drones still use a remote to control them via whatever sensor or script, this doesn't affect a remotes top speed of 100 ms

How does this affect NPC ships? Other speed mods result in drones crashing into everthing cause they can't handle the speed.

Keens physics and multi grid ships will do the tilt a slide. Its why they limited speeds . Eell one of the reasons. Will happen with any speed mod.

if you go at boost speeds with a ship that uses rotor'd thrusters, it tilts forwards for some reason. Any idea why?

once once you go past 250 m/s dedicated servers have issues with the speed, historically.

I use it on my own ded servers.... seems fine as its not going over 250ms, thats where DS start going wonky
