Messes up textures with any other unit mod

I'm currently making a mod for the Tercos and am trying to find where they are in the files. They do not appear to be in the unit_stats_land. Do you know where their data is?

what's with all the people not knowing that the tercio style was adopted by many european nations.

the spanish did invent it but their neighbors copied them well, including the portuguese.

I just readed a message from @Disquiet , fucking disgusting . The ships in 1800 were always the same kind , in 1500 you had some ships that look very similar too .There is no copy and paste .
And not the first ones to develop " a navy" . Many countries had ships you know?

The tercio was a combined arms formation that included pikes, arquebusier, and swords.

Is it possible to extract these 3D models? If so how could i do that? They have a really good quality and i was thinking of using them for personal purposes. It would be perfect if they can be extracted in .fbx or .obj files, but i will manage to get that later.

Doesn't make sense to call them Tercios either, considering they were a formation af pike and shot, not just shot. If anything, they should be called arquebusieres or gunners, but CA calls the unit "Tercos", so the mod author is just following the developer's naming convention so people know what unit is being retextured

no, they were in “real history”. What you are saying is that just because Spain had them Portugal can’t have. The Tericos were a Spanish force that were successful and so Portugal copied them. The same as happened throughout history

Thanks! Not going too overboard there. I want to keep the vanilla feel yet keep all the factions unique looking. Should hopefully come out soon now as I have gotten back from a long break of modding. Thanks for you support. :)

That's nice to hear! I don't really know what to expect since you haven't created other reskins but I'm very much looking forward to a complete reskin that has interesting variety and is semi-realistic, to the extent that this can be a thing in Shogun 2 lol

Oh boy is this a late response... The planned reskin mod is not abondoned, I just want to say that. It's difficult to pinpoint a release date. I have already finished the fundations quite some time ago, but tok a break from public modding as I got a little burnt out. If I put my focus on it, I could probably get it done within a week. Lack of motivation is what keeps that from happening tho. Luckily tho, I am getting back into things, so I assume I will very soon continoue the project. In that case, it might be a lot closer than you think. Sorry for the late response, I didn't really get notified and just realised now that you had commented. Hope this answers it. c:

This mod doesn't add new units but reskin an already existing one in order to create variety. The unit is called Portuguese Tercos and can only be recruited by Otomo.

I would like to upload the Bullgod's Daimyo mod, which gives Daimyos more historical look, but I'm new to the uploading stuff so maybe you could do it? The version included in the Darthmod lacks the new model for Otomo Sorin, and the versions uploaded on the workshop have some issues, for example Takeda Shingen with a mask or lacking Oda Nobunaga model. Could you upload it in future?

It's an unit exclusive to the Otomo clan. You'll need the Otomo DLC in order to use them. All they require is a Nanban Quarter. You can get them quite quickly since the Otomo starts out with a Nanban Trade Port, but it's generally more advicable to deconstruct and reconsturct the quarter over at Buzen in order to get an accuracy bonus. :)

Tercos were literally just the Portuguese version of Tercio's. Not to mention after 1580 Portuguese tercios were a thing because Spain gobbled up Portugal.

No it was Portugal along with the Portuguese Tercos and not the Spanish Tercios because Spain was not in Japan in the XVI century.

Portugal was the first country to develop a navy I guess the Spanish navy was also just a rip off version of the Portuguese Navy.

Hey, aetius71! That depends if I get permission from the creator of the portugal mod. It's quite a simple task that I believe would be easy for him to do himself if so be, so I advice you to ask there first. If he don't want or don't have time for it, I might ask for permission and see what I can do. :)

It took me a while to find bullgod's mod previously as well, but it was amazing and I'm glad I did.

I've tried yours and I believe you have done a great job in adding more variety to bullgod's work.
You re-textured every detail? As your file is 3 times the size of bullgod's. haha
