If this somehow does get updated, I just want to say as a long time RWBY fan this is one of the mods I look forward to getting updated the most

New tools for modders have been added with the latest Odyssey update, might be worth a look.

The fact that you're still working on this after so many years (and expansions, and 'oh crap my work is obsolete now' from said expansions) is insane. Keep up the good work, can't wait to see this updated!

First things first, let's let this person get this mod out for 1.6, got it? Any ideas and whatnot can be saved for updates, otherwise it will not come out until RW 2.0

I think it was Anomaly's monolith that gave me the idea of grimm pools (spawn points) that can only be destroyed by silver eyes.

Perhaps having a silver-eyed pawn would unlock a mission from other factions to destroy a nearby grimm pool; the typical old 'borrow your pawn' mission, or now your own shuttle/bullhead to do it personally?

I'm really looking forward to messing with the powers in this mod, and especially fighting Grimm. Lots and lots and lots of Grimm. I'm thinking Grimm-infested locations and ruins on the world map. That would be great. This would go great with an SCP Foundation-themed mod list I've recently become interested in.

I dont take any donations. I am in no need of money and taking money for a hobby has the risk of the hobby feeling like a job and i dont want that.

I am just so glad this mod isn't completely dead, thank you! If possible, is there some way we can donate money or something, so you can maybe get some more help with it? Personally trying to save up for a better PC myself, but maybe someone better off finacially can anonymously send ye money, that way there's no scam risk?

Can't blame you for that loss of impetus. I burned out on a video project, once upon a time, but I always thought I'd give it another go someday. Hasn't happened yet. So I'm glad you're still actively planning.

Absolute Cinema

Positive news for 1.6: you can now build statues of pawns which maybe does a snapshot of the look of a pawn. I can use this for Blake's Semblance to create clones the way she looks at the exact point when the clone was created.

Another positive news: i already experimented with 4 new Semblances which may come with the new update. I cannot say when i update this mod to 1.6, because just redoing the weapon abilities and the Semblance powers is approximately a workload of 4 weeks working a full time job.

Bonus news: i already made plans for new mechanics like a quest you can get in which you can explore an abandoned Grimm infested Dust mine to get loot and mine some Dust. (this will most likely not make it into the 1.6 version though)

I did make my own toolset for weapon mechanics way back when 1.3 released. But i was too slow and then 1.4 came with mechanics that made half my toolset obsolete before it even released. I updated the RWBY mod based on my toolset and 1.4 made me redo all the stuff i already did, because i wanted to use the vanilla mechanics rather than my own for performance and bug prevention reasons. So now i am sitting on a half updated mod where i have to redo all weapon and ability mechanics. This has made me lose all of my motivation because that is hundreds of hours wasted on the toolset and the RWBY mod.

Carny intended to redo it from scratch with their own toolset, then updates started providing mechanics relevant to the mod. But as is usually the case, Real Life takes priority.

It's been four years, so I'm not going to say I refuse to play without it. This mod was hardly the only thing holding up RimWorld for me, but I do still keep an eye on this one.

It was really fun while I had it, and I wish I'd had more time to play with it before I was off updating everything to versions beyond it. At this point it'd need to be entirely rewritten from the ground up to function, I'm sure, but there's also a lot more functionality in the game that could blend with it I think.

Neptune's voice made an announcement on the official RWBY twitter. It earns a tentative huzzah from me, not because it might not happen (it's going to happen), but how it turns out. Some of the writing... hasn't been great.
