songhai are in there with a single city with all wonders prebuilt because I don't know how to disable them ;)

Ah, a shame but I am happy to continue the idea in the mod I hope to make one day. I probably won't get on it for a while, maybe not at all, but I'll tell you if I release it.

@Moo Zedong: Hi, cheers for the feedback! Unfortunately I'm not really doing any more modding with Civ V at the moment, please feel free to modify this scenario to your tastes/abilities though :)

The map is based on a larger Earth map (can't remember the name) which is why it is a relatively cosy size. The other adjustments you mentioned are all ones that are (unfortunately) beyond my talent!

On a side note I feel the map should be a bit bigger, for a more authentic exploration feel. I can't tell from the picture but is it possible to increase the size while maintaining the ratio?
Also, this looks similar to the ANAC map, is it a copy or did you make it?
I myself have been brainstorming an ideas for a scenario similar to this, but with more civilizations and complexity. I have yet to begin working on it however. Best of luck with this scenario, I hope you continue to work on it!

This looks intresting, I've wanted an updated New World scenario for a while. You should try to implement modified Treasures (from the Conquest of the New World scenario) that provide gold rather than victory points. You could also include a modified edition of the trading with china system, though I imagine it would be much tougher to accomplish. Or you could do it by putting 1 chinese city in the atlantic, that has a whole bunch of trade modifiers to make trade routes very profitable.
Also, with regards to technology, you could enable it, but start the Europeans later technologically, and cap it by disabling technologies past the renaissance (or industrial).
I would start Natives in the early classical and europeans in the late midieval. Natives would need some way to catch up however, possible tech trading (as seen in the Civ IV diplomacy). You could also try implementing the DLC tech tree.

I disabled wonders by make them "Set cost = -1" or 0 or something like that. And after that you can remove them from the tech tree by putting them all into "agriculture". It's a good way to delete them. The Firaxis way to do it is very strange, it made crash my older mods everytime...
If I were you, I'll go looking the kevincbryan Pacific War mod, his file for Removing Wonders is very good.

Apologies to those of you experiencing crashes, i believe it's something to do with my current system for disabling wonders (that being that the unplayable songhai have every wonder currently built in their unreachable capitol).

If anyone knows how i can better disable wonders please let me know and i'll try it out.

Author, the only way where you can have more freedom with this is to make a XML mod, something like the scenarios, you can remove (or move) things etc. So you should try that instead, its' very simple really.

I love the map and scenario but 2 things: I've crashed like 3 times and i think you should change France's abitility to make it relavent, otherwise IT'S AMAZING

No problem mate. We're on the internet, so everything is to everyone.. :) I make this mod because I quite only play Civ for the historically accurate scenarios and I was wishing to offer to the community more scenario mods, or to make better some of them like the Colonization one. But now I don't have the time anymore to update it and all.. So I think that I'll delete them in some few weeks! So of course you can make your own mod with my mods (if you want, there's a Napoleonic Wars scenarios that you can take with a huge map, I'll delete this one too so if you wanna use it .. ;D)

Alrighty, so i've basically started fresh and gone through the whole procedure again, hopefully this time it works.

@spleen_eater: this mod uses the standard civs listed above, meaning yes, you will need the appropriate DLC to use the mod.

@The Goshdarn Robin: Trade routes are already in. They are actually a pretty big part of the European game as they allow you to bolster your initial colonies food/production as you see fit and also provide a massive boost to your financial situation through trade with other european civs which allows purchasing of units and buildings.

Ideally i would like to enable gold trading with your own cities, nerf it a little with the other euro civs, and make it so you can only purchase units in your (european) Capitol city.

Any plans on adding BNW trade routes to this? I loved the Conquest of the New World scenario, but I have a hard time going back to it since Gods and Kings and BNW came out. Excited to give this a try! :)

I've just reuploaded so it now should have a map, please let me know if this is not the case!

@nomadbrad: ease up turbo, this is the first civ v mod i've uploaded, just ironing out the kinks.

@sir loona: religion is only disabled at the moment because i can't figure out how to set up the religions at the start of the scenario. I know how i'd like to have each religion set up but i just can't implement it... yet. :)

You know it's a bad mod when you have the combination of (1) NO MAP and several others commenting that they can't get the mod to load properly...not to worry I'm just unsubscribing I should have known better than to subscribe when there was no map.
