Hey, nice job on these models! I really enjoyed animating that funny alpha build Barney, y'know, the one who looks like he's seen one too many eldritch entities? All jokes aside, sincerely, thanks for doing this. It's people like you who keep SFM as a viable animation tool.

The increased variety of options? The bundled additional models? The work I put into it to add more functionality? No? That means nothing? Well, now you have your answer as to why this and all my other Workshop work is abandonware; ungrateful people demanding more for pretty much no reason. Be glad I'm not like the usual creator and haven't removed my stuff yet.

You're best off making your own rig with the auto rigger script.
Also, the update is not coming. This is now abandonware. If anyone else wants to do it via decompilation feel free-- I don't really work with Source too often anymore.

Do you have the HL:S content installed, or any other Barney installed? Because that's an issue with the default HL:S Barney and is not to do with mine. You can fix it by copying that bx_chrome1 vmt from Workshop into the same location in your usermod folder.

I have either ♥♥♥♥♥♥ something or something is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up on my end. The chrome part on Barney's helmet is just wireframe and it gives me this in console

It's because it's reflecting the environment. The easiest way to resolve this is to sub to this addon:

Then use a $envmap string override material on his helmet (forgot what it's called) and paste in a cubemap from that pack to give it a fake shine that doesn't reflect the environment.

I've encountered a problem where his helmet shines with a bright green due to him being in a green screen room, any fix?

Just type Barney @amusingidiot in the search box. Make sure the workshop downloads menu has popped up and you've clicked OK.

I've got it installed properly (I think), but it isn't showing up anywhere in the mdl menu. Anywhere else they might be? Or am I just stupid? (Very, VERY new to SFM, wanted to mess around with these to get a feel for things.)

You have no idea what you're talking about. If you think it's that simple your best bet is to use said playermodels yourself.

Can I Upload To Gmod? I Already Ported.

If you copy the files into gmod (something I won't help you with as it can be used for SFM content piracy otherwise) then it will work with the Advanced Joint Tool provided you also use Easy Animation Tool to render the effect "animatable".

I hope this gets ported to GMOD, it looks really good.

I'm still waiting on someone I'm working on it with to re-UV his body. This project is at the bottom of my pile otherwise.
