Two things to note about the star system I use for DAC:
1.) The star system is based on only the performance numbers; more details are in the description of the DAC Automotive collection
2.) The stars for acceleration are based on automatic transmission; if you shift gears with the manual option, it accelerates and handles better.

Also, because this was made for the small Bricksville figure-8, it doesn't need to have a high speed on that track. If you make the engine more powerful, the car becomes too slippery, and handling is very important for this car.

Summary: The main reason it is slow is so that it handles well on the track it was designed for

why you not make it with speed at 3 star and acceleration 2 stars?
