pls update - not working anymore

This is a much welcome mod, I always forget what I was researching and those huge checkmarks make things worse because I can't see the picture. Thank you very much!

I'll add an option.

for my feeling this small checkmark is too small to assess very fast by just glancing at all visible which tech is still todo.

a medium size checkmark / a visualization that would leave the research icon better visible than the original would be great. maybe give the original full size checkmark a customizable alpha for opacity?

Added mod option to completely remove the blue background.

I write through a translator, he often confuses words, so it’s difficult to communicate my thoughts ((Strange but I don’t have a blue background on the learned skills, so I have to watch hard what else you need to learn by the green marks ... I think something is getting lost in translation? There is a blue background for the complete ones, I didn't want to completely remove it, but I can add an option to do so?

Yeah, I can shrink and move them to the top left, they're just a bit hard to notice (I guess hard not to be), I'll add it as an option next update.
