If you have a difficulty mod this is a good thing to even out the defense of the dead cats. It spawns about 3-5 or so guards that the villages really need, or at least enough to make it feel like they don't get steamrolled every time they get attacked.

I found this to be a very useful little mod that helps the deadcat village survive better against strong raids and the occasional roaming leviathan.
