hi i manage to enable the zombiedrops....

but the problem is when i reached an hour in survival mode, its caused an overflowing and the game crashed ....

so i decided to minimize the drops by editing the "host_zombiedrops_def.txt"... but it wont make any difference even editing the txt file from "ems/left4fun/zombiedrops" it still in the default drops...

i just subsribed all, then i tried to start local server and its not working

That crash wasn't due to this mod. It crashed only on Vine Falls and most likely due to another mod.

@Ajiliffe it's a bug of windows notepad, open it with another editor, like notepad++

@Left4Boy there is nothing to test, if their value is changed then the addon did its job correctly. I don't know what those cvars are supposed to do, you need to ask Valve for that, maybe they are meant to do nothing.
There is another cvar "z_witch_damage_per_kill_hit" did you try change this one?

@smilzo I Don't Know too...but for my review....this persitent cvar works fine for another cvar code except those two ( z_witch_damage and z_witch always_kills )..maybe you can do some little test for prove it?

@Left4Boy what you mean? If you see the value you set with pcvar then pcvar worked. Maybe you are just using the wrong cvars, i don't know.

@smilzo it's same current value based on my mod file or with l4f pcvar. but in practice i'ts like old value that loaded...

@Left4Boy if you type the name of the cvar in the console it shows its current value. Is the value the same you set with pcvar or via mod file or it's still the old value?

btw for !l4f pcvar... I tried to restart a game as instruction. but those two cvar still not loaded... witch still pounce survivor with 100 hp even kills them in expert...

@smilzo thank you for the updates...unfortunatelty this updates not fix my issue about z_witch_damage 25 and z_witch_always_kills 0. those two cvar not loaded..whatever in my txt file or in game with !l4f pcvar...even no error massage appeared.

yeah sorry, that is a bug. It will be fixed with the next version.

@smilzo... I am not loaded during the game...just added it in my txt file...

mod files are loaded at the beginning of each chapter so, if you changed them during the game you must wait until the next chapter or restart the current chapter

Hello @smilzo. btw I Tried to insert cvar in my left 4 fun mods like z_witch_damage 25 and z_witch_always_kills 0 but it doesn't work when game in proccess. witch damage return to 100 and istantly dead when get pouncing by witch. I tried to disable my sourcemods but result is same. even though another cvar works usually.

are some cvar in l4d2 cannot to be loaded in left 4 fun?? or something wrong??

Yes, this mod works if you're hosting using a local server.
No, your friends do not need this mod or configuration files. The mod would be running on your local server. They are just clients.

This has been my experience as I host local server games with friends all the time.

yo, sorry if you've answered this somewhere already. but I wanted to ask how this mod works if Im just hosting through 'Play with Friends' and using local server? I assume my friends would need this mod and the Lib, but would they need to add my custom text file/mod to their files?

The only command that seems to work is the crawling one, the rest can only be activated via !l4f cvar.

Right now the pcvar command is not working, it does not save the commands nor does it even apply them.

Hey, sorry if this has been asked before. I'm playing on VR and would like to just auto upgrade all weapons to have laser sights from the start, and just replace all instances of laser sight spawns with explosive/incendiary ammo.

I saw "upgrade_spawns" over in the secret CVARS section, and would like to use it. Unfortunately I'm nowhere near literate enough to even know how to begin. Could anyone help me?

@✫ kzv i noticed that too but it's something happened very recently. I cannot 100% exclude it's one of my latest update but i'm pretty sure it started later. Apparently the .txt files are saved with a different encoding than UTF8 which makes windows notepad not read them correctly, but more advanced editors like notepad++ read them no problem. It is possible that the latest game patch added this issue but i can't confirm this, so there is nothing i can do other than suggest you to use another text editor.
