still, someone should just get the game if they want the content. I may make an unlisted addon that removes the restrictions (with no content inside) if I have time

actually, that's not how that works. it'd just use errors and missing textures for that stuff.

that is true, in fact, an older version did remove those restrictions. however, I added them back since someone should get the game rather than pirating content for it and expecting it to mount

considering this exists, you could theoretically make an addon that removes the mount restrictions (ex: having half life episode 2 hunter in the spawnmenu when episode 2 isn't mounted and not having to manually change gmod's files)
