@Twanvvliet - depending on the opposition I will use a defensive on if needed and the same goes for the attacking one.

I saw you also use a devending tactic this season whit ajax do you use atteking tactic home en devending away?

As Manchester United, the goalscoring is ok, but I take way too many goals. I'm fed up with this game honestly.

I won 5 PL and 1 UCL in 6 years with this.(Man Utd). Good stuff.

@VidarJ - yea to be honest mate I really don't usually go for this kind of tactic, as my most popular one 4-3-3 (Goal Machine) that is what I stood by in every FM game until now when I made multiple ones and this plus the more defensive one came out well too. I like to use Wingers/Attacking Mid's and more than just the one striker. But yea thanks for the feedback

@DarkXess, i've tried it for 4 hours now, with some tweaks on the IF's, WB's, and the striker, and i like it so far. I usualy use normal wingers in FM, so it's a fun new thing to watch :) I'll post an update after a couple of seasons here. Seems like AI struggels to adept to this tactic

@VidarJ - I do and I don't, it all depends on the manager, team, and player. The tactic works fine without such but yes as the manager you can change such and it should in theory still work the same.

Hey.. Do you use player instructions on this one in your own saves?
I have made my own FM /CM tactics since 2001, and i haven't had any sucsess with such a simple tactic as this one when it comes to player instructions (instructions for the roles, like IF, AF, etc etc.. ) Just curious... I haven't tried it yet, because of my own gegenpress tactic, but i consider to give it a go with a second team on my save.

It should be in the Documents/Sports Interactive/FM 2019/tactics folder, after subscribing. But when you load your tactic ingame it should browse this folder automatically first anyway.

If i download your tactic, my midfield contains a DPM and a CM instead of a BBM and an AP in the centre midfield, is that correct?

@MoZe$ - depending on the team and players only you can know that mate, you could play around with the tactic and experiment, such as trial and error

do you have any adjustments against defensive opponents? counters hit well against me, which is too dangerous even though this is offensively the highest percentage 4-2-3-1 i´ve seen

@DarkXess - Funny enough I was playing with Ajax as well, and in those 5 games Dolberg scored a 5.8 and missed 942 goalscoring opportunities. He was given a transfer to the B-squad haha. I just "transferred" to Tottenham myself, tried this tactic again and Mr. Kane knows what goalscoring is about!

@wytze - lol righteo, anyways I have found the tactic to work in favour of those players that match it, though that is a bloody hard guess on who will and who won't lol. For example, Kasper Dolberg did really good for me scoring a lot, but Klaas-Jan Huntelaar did so bad that I stopped playing him, the thing is though he would have that one perfect game scoring a goal here and there but the rest of the time it was also bad, very bad lol.

As usual in my tactics, L/R backs are KEY also in this one are the 3 diamond midfielders in the center, get some really good creative/playmaker style players and you can't go wrong.

@DarkXess - That's why I said "so far" ;-) And with every possible statistic in my teams favor except the number of scored goals, the luck-factor that was already mentioned seems to be playing quite a big part in the not winning of those games. Not blaming the tactics.

@wytze - only 5 games? what do you expect? look at the TIPS / Q&A the 3rd one down ;)

Tried this for 5 games, all of them I had 30-35 shots and the opponent 1-2 and all games ended in 0-0 or 1-1. Not my luckiest tactics so far I guess... :-/

@MtvYoloSwag - no mate, they are of the 4-2-3-1 tactic. I do not do the training, I leave it to the AM.

Any suggestions for training specific traits/moves for players in this formation?

I'm sorry, testing your tactic with Chelsea. Not really a fan. I win the games but my team plays sh*t football. Very low ratings for all players. And They can't score if their life depended on it.

Works brilliantly! I use this system when playing at home, I am Hertha Berlin and currently 3rd in the Bundesliga but unbeaten! I use this and the more defensive 4-1-4-1 version when playing away!

@civi91 - use one your happy with and that your sure your striker is able to do the job, you the manager is the only person who can answer this question ;)

I've downloaded your two tactics, and I'm playing with a very low-level team, aiming not to descend, and ending up in almost fighting to move up, my question is this, in almost every game I'm a minor team and I use defensive , but when I face against smaller teams, I use this one of 4 2 3 1 and there is no way to score a goal, is that normal? or should I always use the defense?
