Does this mod work with workshop characters (i.e characters downloaded from Steam Workshop)? Or does it only work with the characters in the base game + DLC?

I've noticed a couple of things- one might be intended, though! After swapping from wheeler to wormwood, I still had her movement speed buff. And her personal items disappeared- this might be intended, but I decided to add it just in case! Otherwise working great so far.

CrazedMalgrain ,np with mechanics ,dunno about the downgrade of slots.
I would remove items from my inventory to be safe.

Quick question! Does it cause any notable issues in-game when changing a character? Should I strip off all items and such before swapping to someone like wheeler, who has less slots? Does it mess with mechanics that are character based like webber being attacked by pigs and such?
