Just a warning
i know you guys are not around much any more
but found that on single player and dedicated server after learning the skill when pressing the 'H' key the client crashes but the server is fine found this out on 12/4/2021 but it started playing again about 2 weeks ago

After many hours of investigating this mod is not the cause of my crashes. It appears something is wrong with either single player Atlas, steam, or my OS.

@Deadeye Cruikshank Sorry to hear that, to be honest I don't know as our group has not been playing for a while. There were issues in the beginning with the minimap making the game crash in certain situations. The source assets are at the bottom of the description if anyone wants to investigate. EDIT: Also, I have not ever tried this mod in single player, only dedicated server

Is this mod stable with v410.4. I have ONLY this mod installed and now atlas crashes in under 60 seconds back to back to back. Only title on my machine that crashes.

@Fox I'm not set up at the moment to see why that is, and I don't know when I will. However, if someone wants to look at it, there's a link to the sources in the mod description. Just send me a pull request.

the ship wrecks dont show up on this buff, anyway you can fix that like the default buff?

Yeah, the minimap does not work on Blackwood. It's just a blurred, nonmoving map of nothing.

Pretty sure this mod makes the client crash if your on the Blackwood DLC

@cytoxx.net Nothing that I could find to allow zooming, it's as if the minimap is controlled by the main executable, and not one of the moddable objects.

Quite handy - but the minimap is totally zoomed in (does display basically nothing).
There must be a solution to this?

@NightMare-King I wasn't aware you could zoom the minimap... I have no control over that, it's in the base server code.

When I use this mod I get extreme random fps loss when sailing. It doesn't go away until I take out this mod. Anyone else have this problem?

@Upperking Have you determined with certainty it was this mod? Looking at that dump, the top part indicates it is a graphics card issue (D3D device lost). I know myself and others have had issues with NVIDIA 400.x+ drivers with random crashes in ARK and ATLAS. We've rolled back to 399.x and haven't had issues since.

@fab the only thing you should have to do is unlock the Master Navigator skill in the tree, and the minimap and compass will appear without having a sextant or doing the minigame. If you respec, they will disappear until you unlock the Master Navigator skill again. If it is not working like this for everyone on the server, what other mods are there that maybe are interfering?

sorry @andargor .. exatly i have unlock the skill as you say on the description but still have to play the mini game with star to get the compass and mini map .. last try i get 5 star and its exact the timer is very high but i need also to play the mini game before ..

@Tali The latest version makes the compass visible after a few seconds. It seems there`s a timing issue on log in. Please tell me if it works for you.

it works until you log off, the minimap stays, but the compass dissapears :(

is there a way to get the minimap to zoom out by chance? it's pretty much zoomed all the way in :(
