Hi. I found a weird glicsh? When you instal bionik eyes on the lupaii, the project on the pawn in the upper tab on their nose, for some reason.

@faust.twi Thanks for the log. I'll get around to patching it, but like I said, that error does not prevent the game from working normally. You can just ignore it.

@faust.twi Could you be more specific about what doesn't work? Game loads fine for me.
I see I did make a mistake with the mechanitor def, but that doesn't stop the game from loading.

Lupaios-specific furniture/research? Maybe some Lupaios-specific traits, positive/negative thoughts, and more stat differences?

[Barky's Lupaios Race Pack (for 1.3, 1.2, 1.1)] causes compatibility errors by overwriting SurgeryFlesh in file \1.3\Defs\RecipeDefs\Recipes_Lupaios_Surgery.xml


You might want to switch to patches or a custom Def, depending on what you are trying to do here.

@Tox @Olex Pretty much, yes; I decided to repackage it in the updated format (as of beta 19, so that's already a while ago), and made lots of tweaks to visual, textual and balancing settings.

@Tox If remember correctly, this mod was basically revamp of the older frijjid mod. I think at the time the frijjids may not have been up to date. Other than that, I think the file for the pawn stats is different. You'll have to check and see. It's been awhile.

I'll dive into the XMLs and see if i can find which ones are working and which are not. It may have just been EPOE or one of the other medical rebuild mods adding researches >.<!

@Jetharius Which mods? If the mod adds new implant recipes to basic pawns (humans), then this race mod *should* pick them up automatically. If not, depending on the specific mod I may be able to look into adding a patch for it.

@Auren Wolfstein I'd suggest disabling any haul-related mods you might have, or mods related to pawn AI, jobs, traits, etc., and see if that changes things. I'm afraid there's little I can do without more information.

@Olex @DUVMik The reason I don't support EPOE out of the box is because I don't use it personally, which means I wouldn't be able to test it nearly as well (the base mod has been tested with multiple full-game playthroughs). If, however, there's a lot of demand, I might look into it.

I messed around with it with a character editor. But the stalker, and both Artic positions couldn't do certain types of work, the Commando I believe couldn't warden, the stalker couldn't do things involving picking up and moving things it seems. And it's only the Lupaii that are affected, I'm not sure which mod would be causing it.

@Auren Wolfstein No, they should function exactly the same as vanilla human pawns. Are you sure it's not a trait or another mod that's preventing them from hauling?

I have a question. I used a character editor so it might be that rather than the mod itself. But are the Lupaii unable to Haul or deliver stuff by default? My Lupaii is the only one that had these jobs greyed out.

I'd go check but I don't use EPOE. I use FSF vanilla bionics plus another mod which adds compatibility for those bionics on animals instead of needing to make separate bionics via A Dog Said.

Anyway, if you add
"<humanRecipeImport>true</humanRecipeImport>"
between "<generalSettings>"
and "<maleGenderProbability>0.5</maleGenderProbability>" in
"Defs\ThingDefs_Races\Race_Lupaios.xml" then it should work. It's around line 17.

If that's all you need, then why don't you do it, then post a github link or something? I stopped using this mod after the 1.1 update because I wasn't sure how to add compatibility myself.

Is it a deliberate choice to not make the mod compatible with EPOE?
Because as far as I can tell you just need to add a single line to get it to work.

@joseph_the_Impaler I can't reproduce this. Installing bionics or archotech parts works fine. It's probably an incompatible mod setup on your end. Keep in mind this mod isn't compatible with EPOE, if that's what you're referring to.

@Krausladen - Unfortunately I am not actually a modder. I know I made the code changes to fix the tails (and then went on to fiddle with some other things) but I used existing code from the original mod to fill the gaps.

I know it's not what you want to hear, but I use the bionics sets by FrozenSnowFox. They come in basic and advanced versions.

I'm not seeing a tag anywhere that calls on "BodyPartBionicBase" in your mod, and I think that's where you need to tinker for you to make it EPOE compatible, so we can install advanced bionics on these furry friends.

I'm just looking at the difference between yours and the avian races one faction mod to wrap my head around it.

It's certainly not game breaking the way it is, but your race is simply weaker without it.

This mod has a soft incompatibility with EPOE. I think it is a very simple addition to allow for advanced bionics to be installed to these pawns.

NOTICE: I have implemented a fix for the tails being "under" the body when facing "north". I also tweaked the head positions so they feel more centered. If you want the fix, comment here.

I enjoy this Mod, the Lupaii are believable as a Race. I've thrown a few into my games already. I do have a question though, more of a curiosity. Are you planning to Add Hair & Other Colors for them?
