I'm delighted that this works with the plant fiber mod. Having a soft hammock ready to go on day 1 of a naked brutality run makes it just a bit less brutal!

Since last month, the author is developing a library for RimWorld called "JPTools" at https://github.com/jptrrs/JPTools . I think he is going to abstract some mod codes to make future mod development easier.:likeaboss:

This mod seems to be the cause of an error loading the actual map up when generating, when I took only this mod out it worked

I really like how this mod approached to beds. No more textiles added to cost only making bedding part of bed. Most realistic of all those bed mods. Too bad not updated to 1.4

I downgraded the version to 1.3 and verified this.
Apparently, even as of the original version, the beds and blankets did not provide insulation.
Comfortable temperature range did not change when settlers were placed on Thrumbo blanket bedding.

I checked and the bed insulation was not functioning.
However, the insulation of the clothes seems to be working so far in my mods set.

That version doesn't work correctly. The insulation stat doesn't work.

Just press the green button labeled "Code" and select "Download Zip".
Don't forget to put the downloaded file in the Mods folder of your local Rimworld files.

I'm trying it now and Daniel's version seems to work exactly as it did in 1.3.
I also installed the Rebalanced patch and it seems to be compatible with Daniel's version except for the version warning as I confirmed that the Softness and Rest Effectiveness values change as they did in 1.3.

I spoke to the dev when 1.3 hit and they were active but often takes a while to update. Mods where the author is likely to return is low prio unless someone can get some verification that the mod is abandoned

So I guess we're stuck in limbo waiting for confirmation other than complete silence from the devs... :steamsad:

Hahaaaa it SUPER does not work in 1.4. Tried with no other mods at all, just this and HugsLib, and nonstop error log spam. I am really hoping either jptrrs or mlie will pick it up, it's exactly what I want in terms of bedding actually has relevant comfort and warmth stats depending on material, which Beds Need Bedding does the exact opposite of, so it is not a good replacement to me. Mlie is also singlehandedly keeping the 1.3->1.4 updates flowing for just a ton of other mods and I don't want to pester 'em about it. Just gotta continue to wait.

Correct me if I am wrong, however I don't think I've seen Mlie do custom patch balance work on revived mods. Don't they just update it as is, and ship it?

Awe what, I seen this and got hyped. Not updated to 1.4 yet it seems like this mod is almost crucial to the games elements. It makes no sense that you are sleeping in the cold covered up in a blanket during a solar flare.

Could there be compatibility with BondageBed Torture (Continued)'s variety of beds? besides the restraining beds there's mattresses, poor beds and nice beds.

The 1.4 version only partially works. The insulation stat is broken. Cribs from Biotech aren't working either but I made a patch that at least makes them use bedding now. Since insulation removed bonuses from clothing. you have no insulation at all. There are blankets in the files that don't seem to work either.

Unfortunately since the author is gone and the person who made the fork won't post it so we can report issues, it might be better to just use Beds Need Bedding. At least you get clothing insulation back. It's a shame. Maybe another modder will fix this properly and make a continued version. I know Mlie does a lot of that work.

The 1.4 version doesnt seem to interact properly with the sleeping spots. Those have the normal rest effectiveness of 80% instead of the reduced one.

@cobaltwolf2002: You have to first make the beddings at the tailoring bench. Single beddings use 60x materials and double beddings use 100x. Then you can make the beds. The material filters on the bed frames are for whichever existing beddings you have available which you made from the tailoring bench.

Would be great if authors tell us whether or not an update is on the horizon though, so that if not we could go ahead and fork :)
