What settings did you use to get the islands that close to one another? I always get giant oceans breaking it up...

yeah i don't know why there is no map editor I would love it if they would do that

@Bob, Thank you. I'm glad you like the map. I'd love to spend the time creating my own map but as you've said this just a random generation.

According to this, you can't really create a map... Yet.

Following this, we will then continue evaluating all possibilities for further modding options beyond the in-game map editor, and will be back with news as soon as we possibly can."

People that are uploading maps to the Workshop are simply sharing various Sandbox Generated Maps. You do this by going to the Sanbox, and make a map with settings that you like, then upload it to the Workshop.
