all i'm saying is it won't surprise me if years down the road when they declassify the mission that it turns out they were Delta Force operators, who, by the way, still CAN be former SEALs anyways. after all, Delta Force operators ARE recruited from the other special ops groups the US has because they showed potential above and beyond even their hefty standards, and the SEALs's training is probably the most brutal short of Delta Force itself.

@Arkhangel - No SEAL Team 6 are SEALs. A quick Wikipedia search will confirm this. "The requirements to apply for DEVGRU states that applicants must be male and come from the SDV teams, the Special Boat teams or SWCC, the Navy explosive ordnance disposal teams or EODs and East/ West Coast SEAL teams, be 21 years old or older, and have at least served two combat tours on their previous assignments", with DEVGRU being the other name for ST6.

@asm: I'm aware who the SEALs are. I'm just saying SEAL Team 6 wasn't SEALs, they were Delta Force. It's not that weird for a Black Ops force to have some other branch of the country's military take credit or blame for something.

All the units you mentioned : 1st SFODD(Delta Force), Navy Seal, Army Ranger, Army SpecFor(Green Beret), DEVGRU are now sub branches of USSOCOM not under their original respective US Armed Forces branches

You know.... I'm pretty sure "SEAL" Team Six is actually a Delta Force squad.... but then the US is pretty tight mouthed about their ACTUAL special forces. i kinda see the SEALs, Rangers and so on as more "Elite" guys for their respective branches, whereas Delta's what they send in when you need the job done no matter what, regardless of the opposition (plus, you know, the fact they don't tell everyone about their equipment kinda helps ;) )
