You should be an expert with the Free Camera robmerlo. I remember now you do have to go to the point/switch to get it right.
You can answer a question for me. What term is commonly used in Eastern Australia, point or switch?

getting there and getting used to the free camera took me a while to sort out the points but got there

@cpr2816, the other way to access it is to press 2 for the out of cab camera view and then press 8 which allows you to use the free roam view.

Hi cpr2816 (Canadian Pacific Railroad 2816?). If you mean the 'Free Camera', it is a camera choice on the HUD (world globe symbol). By clicking on it, you can use the arrows on your keyboard to roam anywhere, so you can go over a switch lever (or in this case the electric motor to change them), click on them using your mouse, and this allows changing the direction for the locomotive to go. I travelled on the 'Royal Hudson' to Squamish in 1978 and then took the CPR to Banff, before it became VIA Rail. One of my 'bucket list' items ticked off. Also saw a 'Turbo' at speed out of Toronto.

how do you use this so called free roam thing

Glad you enjoyed it chris5012. I have always had a problem with the Oroville yard - as I didn't realise you could change them (as they are not on the 2d map). An interesting twist. Part 3 under construction. Thank you.

Wow Not.Silent, you have excelled yourself with that scenario!! Very unusual to have to use the "Freeroam" camera to change the last few switches - that certainly added to the realism.
