@W.Halsey Why tf is there a problem with the rising sun background, I don't like it either. HOWEVER I'm not gonna be irrational and go around demanding people change to fit 'my' preference like some intolerant asshole. And if you got a problem with it remember the little phrase, "Treat others how you want to be treated." And you clearly are wanting to be treated like an ass. Actually, using a Nazi mark in a video game does NOT count as "used in historical materials", that provision was left for textbooks and actual historical records, not commercial materials.

And the point is, Japanese flags were NOT banned at all except in communist China and Korea. It's a problem before "used in historical context" or not. The IJN flag is still used by modern JMSDF (and they had a fuss with the ROKN for that just recently)

Also, historically Japanese planes don't use Japanese flags. They just use the Japanese Roundel.

@W.Halsey - They shouldn't, if it's being used in a historical context like this is. And it's asshats like you that basically wish to sanitize history by choosing what to censor. Plenty of people find weapons, especially firearms, offensive. If they complain about them in games, should we listen? So it's NOT that you agree that offensive things should be removed... You just don't want something you PERSONALLY dislike. Go pound all of the sand on all of the beaches of earth.
