I also just ran into the problem with being unable to remove the planning that gets created outside the buildable area. I was marking out circles to show the range of mechanoid turrets that spawned near the map edge.

hi, i just wondering, where i find the circle? i looked up at structure, and in planning,... but nowwhere i can find it xD may i am a little stupid.. xD what do i wrong? thanks

@Gravage I was having this same problem with the more planning mod, and found I need to use the remove plan tool in the orders tab (vanilla) rather than the one in the plan tab.
I hadn't even realised there was a difference until now, but when I set a low opacity for the mods plans, they stack on the vanilla plan rather than replacing it.

same issue with plans on the edge of the map being stuck there as the tools cant reach it. is it possible to get a fix for it?

Thanks for the mod, its great! How do I remove plans though? The normal remove plans doesnt work, though im not 100% sure I dont have other mods that interact with that

One minor thing. If you make a circle near the edge of your buildable map area, like for a kill box, the square tile markers will be added outside of the buildable map area, but you won't be able to remove them.

I can appreciate the effort and while it does serve it's purpose, why would you ever make a mod like this using objects to draw the circle? Not only that but it clutters the menu with unnecessary "structures".

You might as well just make it like everyone else, so it uses a custom "pen" to draw a plan with a preview.

I actually loved it when it built blueprints instead of plans. If possible,can you make it do both? like, if you choose wood, then it should build wood blueprint but if you choose plans then you get plans. Don't feel obligated, this is just a suggestion. Do it if you want, you have already done enough.

I agree. A planning option would be my preferred update to this most excellent mod.

Also can you force the beacons to require components be available before being built?
ATM you are able to build the beacon points and destruct them and farm free material.
Hmmm FREE Gold and Silver materialization.
Thus my preference for a planning option to your mod. Thanks - fine work. @FlashPoint55

Is it possible for you to replicate the "More Planning" mod? It seems that no one else is updating or is competent enough to get it working with 1.3.
All we need is additional colours to effectively plan things out without having to rely on memory.

Small suggestion: Add a "<resourcesFractionWhenDeconstructed>0</resourcesFractionWhenDeconstructed>" line to the parent ThingDef so we're not left with a single piece of wood in the middle of nowhere.

Could it give a plan instead of actual walls? Also any other material, you have to build the beacons first and its a drag.
