Hey @SuperAlyx03 some maps add back the music because the music entity is set to a certain range. In that case, this script unfortunatly does not work.

this will only work when someone goes through all the maps and finds out which file is music, so good luck with that one ^^ my script is a dirty and fast way to work on alot of maps, but if you only use a handful of maps, you should make a script for those.

Dang it... well there are some complex mods on the workshop, maybe one day somebody will make a mod which actually mutes the music

I can't differentiate which sound is music and which isn't - it only stops sounds when a player spawns or in the case of TTT when a round goes into preparing phase.

Does this only activate once after the map finishes loading, actives every X seconds, or automatically starts when a new sound plays?

you just subscribe to it and then most maps won't play music/ambient sounds on roundstarts. some maps still play music because they have events triggering it, for those cases you would need to use the console command "stopsound" conveniently with a keybind
