Yes they can, I just double checked.. You get even more Materials per batch and it is faster.
And no problem ;)

Wait, can basic refineris convert stone to ingots?

Because that is the pourpuse of the kit...

Maybe swap out the survival kits for basic refineries ? So you wont need a script and the Production Tabs Assembler list wont get cluttered by them.
Otherwise it looks like a useful system.
