Ordered a horde of traders. some were male. No pregnancies. Sorry - this scenario is currently "broken". Try Bloodline instead.

Something is very wrong. There are no births, ever. All 75 of my original women die from old age. Plenty of traders come and go, but no births.

i tried to build a wooden palisade as it says don't build stone walls or it will crash the game it doesnt say that about wooden walls though. is it possible to get a fix for that or did i miss something in the info about what not to place.

Good to know! Thanks :-) The horses with the carts are meant for the fast assembly at the beginning. But all in all they reproduce and a few should remain. Adult horses with carts don't need a place in the stable during the winter. Maybe I should mention some useful hints in the description. In any case thank you for your detailed feedback.

Will do thank you. Also, just an fyi..all the horses die at the same time too and all the carts as well but I was at winter 18 I think when it all went to poof. I should have figured something was wrong a long time ago lol.

i'm in the mid of the first winter now and at 102 people. Please save your game more often, then you can continue with the savegame after I have optimized. (if necessary)

That just might be the problem! I did notice the trader stuck between the oven and workbench. I didn't think of moving the oven. I'll start a new game and give it another try. I really enjoyed being able to set everything up and planning my base with the resources available. I'll let you know how it goes.

Hi! I'm very sorry to hear that. I have set that all 75 start at the same age. What you had with the trader is a serious problem. It happened to me once when my paths were too narrow and branched. He got stuck on the way to the oven. I moved the oven, that helped. If you want to try it again and die off again, please let me know. Then I'll have to come up with something and maybe have a few ladies come again after a certain time interval. Or turn on normal migration after all :-/

Hi. I was really enjoying this scenario until most of the original 75 got old and died at the same time and the raiders killed off most of the rest.

I was unable to recover because I just didn't have enough people to rebuild and fight raids. I was at 100 people when this happened and I was hardly getting any births because there is a problem with the traders. A bunch would all arrive at the same time and the game wouldn't stop spamming their arrival until I clicked on one and purchased something. Then they all left.

Not sure if I'm doing something wrong but it was terrible!

Here it's a little different ;-) The girls wait until a male trader comes by and boo-boo - 14 are pregnant.

I'm happy to see an amazon mod, but they'd some kind of function in order to expand their numbers, be it raiding or characters migrating to them.

This game really needs a raiding and capturing system. A very large factor in ancient tribal warfare was reproductive "rights". The more women a tribe retained, the more babies they could make. Populations expanded. Raids were conducted to steal women for this purpose. It was a harsh reality back then.

There are more than enough functions. Use your imagination! Press 6 and search for bearded faces. Send them to the other end of the map at the end of autumn to fetch ore or cut down a tree, children can collect sticks. You can build a small cage (1 gate + 3x5 palisades). Send them in, close the gate, wait until they starve. And then there are the cave bears ....

Actually I wanted to build in a counter for male population, for the quest a purely female population. But the game only counts the population regardless of gender :D That's why the "drive men out" mechanics have dropped out :-(

That's why you have to improvise for an authentic roleplaying experience ;-)

@Schwifty K I was just kidding around. I know that the scenarios aren't realistic because realism is hard too achieve. I know of it. And you should be proud of creating a mod. I currently don't know how to mod this game neither have I looked around for tutorials to do it.

Moving on to what I said "Woman don't have as much strength potential as men." was carefully picked because I was talking about potential not average. Anyhow thanks for the paper I will read it if I found more free time.
