I mean in real life this would be the case. would re-equip with right weapon. not be passed First thing which is unblockable weapon. in game no chance (0% chance to survive sometimes, Outright, which is Bull). Pretty sure someone who is incapacitated would do first decent thing to actually get out blockable weapon. but in game switch/block (and dead, before its PHYSICALLY possible, which is BS, not even a chance to make not insta-gib)

It doesn't seem like much of a cheat or exploit to me. It only affects that tiny window where the camera is stuck in third person for a split second and you don't get full control over your character.

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys. I'll apply for sanctioning in the next release. I'm a little worried that it won't be accepted because it changes a game mechanic and can potentially give players who have it a slight leg up, but I don't think it affects the game any more than Chat Block does.

@kg-cote I did consider it. I might add those as options in the next release.

I am 100% on board with this, and hope it gets sanctioned. Have you considered doing the same for helping people up ledges, and when freed from a disabler?

@♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ el Negro agree, the same way as in L4D they are able to hold a small sidearm i dont understand why the uberstrike five are to weak to hold a small dagger up to kill one or two rats and block or aleast allow to crawl a bit.

You know, considering how badass the Uber Five are, it's a mystery they didn't learn a technique for when they fall on low health.

Bardin should be able to use his extreme prowess, grit and survival skills to easily at the least hold his weapon to protect himself from attackers.
Maybe even swing with it, albeit incredibly slowly.

@Anvil If you get downed holding your ranged weapon, you get picked up holding your ranged weapon... Which leads to some situations of you getting REKT before you even have control of your character.
