"Assault Weapon" is a political buzzword generally used by advocates of firearm bans and regulations, which I'm sure you know already.

Assault is an Action. it's like those people that call it a 'Clip' instead of a Magazine.
Or those whom call it Cement instead of Concrete.

Assault is an ACTION , not a name.
