I think you're getting the term "Assault Rifle" confused with "Assault Weapon".

"Assault Weapon" is a political buzzword generally used by advocates of firearm bans and regulations, which I'm sure you know already.

Yeah , and they're incorrect. A spoon is an 'Assault' weapon when i throw it at you. but you don't go around calling them Assault Spoons do you ?
Assault is an Action. it's like those people that call it a 'Clip' instead of a Magazine.
Or those whom call it Cement instead of Concrete.
I am not making fun and/or insulting you , i am just stating that the wording is incorrect.

It's already called an "Assault Rifle" in the game, lol.
