oh boy this is thread looks real fun to read through. I'm just gonna say that as a warpaint it isn't good, the color clashes very hard with tf2's artstyle and the item workshop guidelines(?). honestly not good 2/10 rainbow warpaints suck

As for the colors, that was something in consideration, but I did want the paint to be bright regardless so I never tried for a complete color overhaul. And, I do actually have ideas for individual flag paints, have for quite a while; unfortunately my artistic drive is fickle and prone to shifting focus, so I just haven't gotten around to working on any of my paint ideas in a long time, flag-related or not.

My initial basis for the paint was just flags for everyone (that could be fit in), and I wound up including the straight flag 'cause slots skewed towards the "biggest"/most well-known groupings (alongside bias in that I do think that simple flag looks nice, and a side of expecting the paint to draw undue ire so may as well let some more potentially flow in over that flag's inclusion). Somehow the queer flag/chevron had completely skipped my mind while initially creating this, but once it came back to mind it easily replaced the straight flag in the upgraded variant (linked in the description) 'cause of both the potential to blanket-cover people whose flags still aren't included and being more relevant than the straight flag.
To a degree, the visual incomprehensibility is the point; it's just a blocky rainbow-ish paint, while the random chance of having any particular flag stand out on it more would just be a bonus for anyone using that particular flag.

First, why is the "straight" flag (black and white) in there?
Second, I can see the idea behind if but, all the flags mashed together at once makes it really hard to see from a glance. Like there are some warpaints that stand out (like the US flag one) but this honestly just looks like a TV error screen if you don't look close enough.

To be honest, I feel like a pride flag warpaint could work, maybe have each individual flags as part of a big set? Maybe try coloring the flag stripes with TF2's color palette, like washed out and dirty?

While not always looking like it at first glance, the sets of stripes actually make up a variety of pride flags, so that topic is mostly relevant to the paint itself (also, this is an older version, there's an updated one linked in the description)

Listen, setting apart the LGBT theme here it is a bad War Paint that I hope doesn't get put in the game. It's so bright and it doesn't fit with the TF2 Artstyle.

i love the idea but as it is it's way too visually busy and kinda not good. One way to do it would be have a single flag per gun randomised like the different shades on leopard printed for example, that could be pretty good. also the ammount of fake gamers getting upset by this is pretty funny

And, on the bright side, should this somehow get into the game and you absolutely hate it, it's a paint you could easily use in trade ups without taking away a paint you like ( if war paint trade ups are a thing, I'm not certain ).

Just because someone shows interest or pride in something, doesn't mean they do not have any other interests or aspects to their personality. And while I understand that it sucks to see something you may not like ( for example, I hate horror films, yet I sometimes stumble across people with avatars of characters from them or see moments of a trailer for them on TV ), people should be allowed to show interest in things they like or are important to them. As long as they're not actually hurting anyone, it really doesn't matter.

This particular paint doesn't even show just one flag. It's a design that shows support in general, including one that many of you could probably relate to and don't even realize ( although it is fine if you don't care, regardless ).
