You can use "PvZ customizable zombies" -mod with it and it works exactly like you want.

Wait so you are telling I was DREAMING about a mod like this, and I finally find it... but it's not like the Whispers in the walking dead? While wearing the zombie skin, zombies just ignores you, doesn't this mod also do for dayz? Damn!!! It would have been perfect otherwise!!! Great work anyway!!!

Is it possible to remove the option for zombies not to have that loot? I'm interested but as a purchase option at the trader or as a reward. The mod is very good but if you have just started playing and already get the mask, the game becomes much easier.

@Munghard, it looks like when the mask deteriorates over time and is put into the "worn" state the original balaclava texture overlays onto the mask.

This mod works really nicely with PvZmoD_CustomisableZombies for blending in with hordes. Is there any chance we could get a config file allowing us to turn off mask spawning every time you gut a zombie, though? I'm running an RP server and that level of free access to all players is a bit much, but your textures look soooo much better than the alternatives that do the same thing. Love this mod.

I guess not.. this mod is super sick except it would be WAY more useful if it kept the zombies away while your wearing all 3 parts..This needs to happen.. if it don't soon ill prolly make one that does myself.. And it should have been called Skinfected.. That would be dope

Just to say, with my PvZmoD Customisable Zombies you can lower zombies vision on players wearing chosen masks.
I think it should interesse those wanting to play walking dead whisperer style.

Why would you be able to take infected meat off of the zombies but not be able to eat it? What purpose would it serve otherwise?
