uuhh. Nice map.

@ShinDog Ah, I see xD That's quite a cruel joke if you ask me :p But as a result you came up with this rather ingenious sequence, so I guess it was worth something in the end. Indeed the entry setup was just there to prevent suicide as part of the solution and I'm quite amazed that you can actually exploit it to reach the exit. Anyway, thanks for playing :] I'm glad you enjoyed it!

The logic of the map cuts off the possibility of suicide of the robot, since in this case you have to start all over again. So I didn't even consider using the first portable panel. But in the end I did it out of desperation :D To my great surprise, it worked.
Of course, then I realized that I was wrong, and my solution is an alternative way. And now I'm plotting terrible revenge on my friend!
Well, that's the story :)
As I said before, the map is very cool. And I hope to play your other cooperative puzzles in the future.
Thumb up and add to favorite!

It's quite an interesting story. I played with my friend and he was the first to find the intended solution. Here is - https://youtu.be/UtvS5hVY5No But he had doubts about that. In contrast, I was sure that it was right.

So we decided to do this: he watches the videos that are in the description. And if the solution is different, I keep thinking about it.

I don't know how he missed the fact that the videos have the same solution. Most likely, he wanted to make a joke. So, he said that the solution is different. And I spent a week trying to come up with the "intended" solution :D And finally I succeeded in this.

@ShinDog Oh wow, that's kinda insane o_O Thanks for letting me know, I'll see what I can do about that. Did you also find the intended solution?

Very good cooperative puzzle! I enjoyed it, thank you! I hope some day play "Great spiral" :)
I found a solution where the first portable surface is used.

@asears16 Really cool video! I had a lot of trouble keeping up with the positions of everything :P Well done solving it - I think it is a very challenging pure logic puzzle and the design provides little to no hints for the solution. I'm happy to hear that you liked it :D

Awesome co-op puzzle, especially for your first one! The amount of portal management nearly drove me crazy, but I ultimately managed to solve it. Fantastic work :D

@camerson1313 Thanks a lot for playing! Even though I designed the map myself, I still found it nearly impossible to keep track of both players and their portals :P I'm glad you enjoyed it. As far as I can tell you did it about intended :]

Pretty good for a first co-op map. I hope you try making more in the future. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Td5Z_DrlcY8

Yeah. There's an alternate method to avoid that issue but I don't think it's worth the trouble.

The issue shows up in the reflections on laser cubes, cube droppers, the other player, funnel emitters, and a few other things.
Narkodes 2019 年 3 月 15 日 下午 3:39
Ahh, that's just an issue when playing coop maps alone, I guess.
Mikeastro  [作者] 2019 年 3 月 15 日 下午 3:36
Yeah I also have no idea what @Joric is getting at
Narkodes 2019 年 3 月 15 日 下午 3:29
Lost cubemaps???
Joric 2019 年 3 月 15 日 下午 1:12
@Narkodes looks like your map has lost cubemaps, use "buildcubemaps" in console to rebuild them (if map gets renamed you lose cubemaps). Not sure it's really fixable from author's side.

Thanks a lot for playing :D It seems there's a few variants available of the same idea, but I kinda like that. I'm glad you liked it in the end, and I agree with you that the difficulty probably comes from the non-linearity. I'll publish it very soon :]

Finally solved it. That took long enough. Hopefully intended.
It's funny; after really struggling with this map for several days, today I solved it relatively quickly. But then it took me several more playthroughs to memorize the sequence in order to record the video. Impressive number of steps for such a small and simple-looking map.
I'm not sure why it actually took so long — I guess this map is just not compatible with my brain :P Really, I think it has to do with my way of solving puzzles which is usually primarily instinct-based. Here there weren't so many intermediate goals that would help me break it down, and the sheer amount of back-and-forth and non-linear design, as well as the simplicity, made it hard for that to work.
Really amazing map though, especially for your first co-op map. A definite favorite when it comes out for real.
