Also here to try and figure out how to get the blank wall above the elevator like in a lobby

I'm torn between this and the modern elevator. It's a real improvement -for me at least - over the vanilla one with that irritating door on the side. It pleases my sense of aesthetics.

Now we need a proper service elevator...plz! :)

How do you get the blank 2nd and 3rd story lobby shafts to appear? In mine the 2nd and 3rd story still look like the elevator doors and can't be accessed by the construction crew...

@jbdub82 - i think the author is trying to show it as being in the same room, not as another separate room with no isometric view.

I have rarely seen an elevator in it's own room. Some people may share my wish to have an elevator that appears to be in an open corridor.

The rooms in the game are all drawn isometrically... i.e. everything skewed to appear partially 3D. I don't understand the point of a flat 2D elevator room.

To me it looks like the elevator is centered in the tile. In the stock game the elevator is off center towards the right.
